Premier League 2011-2012 season

NilesPacManArsenal/Liverpool game this morning...
Arsenal had a rough outing, and they're really missing the creativeness of Fabregas. I think that once Wilshere rejoins the team; they'll do much better, but until then, Wenger and the club is going to continue to suffer. Arshavin doesn't really impress at all, and Van Persie was a non-factor. They absolutely need to sign someone with the Fabregas money (eventual Nasri money, as well); they could be putting themselves out of the race before the season really even gets going if they don't.
On the other hand, Liverpool played better, but until Suarez came on, they were missing that spark to carry them over the top. I was disappointed in Andy Carroll; he just didn't seem like he was doing it up front for them. Suarez, on the other hand, plays brilliantly on and off the ball, and he played an integral part in both of their goals. -
AutomatikThat first goal should have been called back, regardless Arsenal still got owned and gave up another. They didn't look confident at all. Wenger just sits there as his usual self, no emotion.
-
NilesPacManI wasn't able to see the first goal in the run of play (figures when I get up to use the restroom, I'd miss it), but the second goal was just too easy. It just seemed by that point, Arsenal had checked out, and Surarez got an easy goal out of it.
-
Laley23I thought Arsenal would slip to 6th this year. But I didnt think they would look that bad versus Liverpool. Nothing in the midfield. Cesc really brought a ton to the table for that team.
-
NilesPacManI hoped that Everton's opening day losing streak would be ended today, especially playing QPR at home... The thing that frustrates me the most about that team is that they'll play the top six teams wonderfully (they swept City last year), but they'll have the worst games against the bottom teams. Anyways, they controlled the game from the perspective of attempts on goal, but they truly lack a finisher. Jermaine Beckford and Louis Saha were nowhere near getting the job done. SMH.
-
SportsAndLadyHow in the hell does he take out Beckford with like 25 min left and down a goal?? I did not understand that one.
-
NilesPacManNot only that... He took out Beckford and put on Fellaini (a defensive midfielder). I'm a fan of Fellaini, but that move baffled me as well. His headers were poor and often just to the keeper.
-
SportsAndLadyYou are an Everton fan right Niles?
Is Leon Osman always that bad? He looked like by far the worst player on the field in that game. -
NilesPacManYessir.
I really don't remember watching Osman have such a game like today. The team just seems to be in their usual, sloppy early season form -
Laley23Alex with a ridiculously bad touch give West Brom the 1-0 lead inside 4 minutes.
-
ohiobucks1Was Rodwell playing?
-
NilesPacManRodwell played, but he was subbed off for Arteta around the fifty-fifth minute.

Howd he do? How about the teenage phenom. I trained at everton with my college team this past month and the trainer told us about some kid who was gonna be a permanent fixture in their team for the forseeable future... forget his name...would probably recognize it if you listed a few guys -
SportsAndLadyBarkley? He is really fucking good.

Yes!
The same guy also told us Rodwell is gone to United within then next 3 seasons if he performs (they already have a hush hush deal in place) -

Yeah, I'm not impressed with Arsenal or Liverpool. I think Tottenham might be better than both of them. Gunners will obviously be better if they get healthy, but I still don't see anything better than 5th for them. That match today was ugly.
Oh, and Radio City Sport named Barkley man of the match for the Everton - QPR match (even though Everton lost). Wish I could have seen the match, he apparently played really well. -
DeyDurkie5Really sucks I don't have FSC anymore. Need to get on that because I can't stand getting updates on espnsoccernet and here. Definitely going to be going to the local pub for tottenham/man u tomorrow. Spurs are going to rape ass this year.
-
SportsAndLadyAwesome game to watch at the Reebok right now..that Gareth Berry goal was ridiculous
-
lhslep134Liverpool looked pretty good today, at the expense of Arsenal looking like shit. Liverpool will make a play for the CL this year.

That game was yesterday. Did you watch a replay?
But yes, both teams looked bad. But Arsenal was much worse. -
