When will Tiger win a major again?
-
gorocks99I asked this last here, and the results were overwhelmingly that he'd win his 15th major in 2011.

Given that he's 14 strokes out in the PGA I doubt it will be 2011, but I've left it in there as an option. So what say you, when will Tiger win his next major? He'll be 36 when next year's Masters rolls around and going on nearly 4 years without a major victory. -
gorocks99Fucking cloud flare happened right when I was gonna post the poll. Minor league.

karen lotzCloud Flare is a dick.
-
karen lotzI say never.

WriterbuckeyeNever. He's done.
Jack's record will remain intact -- and I'm glad. He's obviously a far, far better representative of the game than Tiger could hope to be. -
Ironman92Tiger will win the 2013 Masters

Jack was a pretty big ass back in the day.....but not for the viewing public to know about. -
Hb31187Id bet that a GREAT deal of the all time greats in any sport if they had the type of media coverage there is today...wouldnt appear to be so squeaky clean
-
sherm03I think he will win 2 more before he decides to hang it up. But I think it will be a few years before he wins one again. So as long as he doesn't get frustrated and quit, I think he'll get two more.
But he will never be the dominant player that he once was. The guy just doesn't have what he used to anymore. -
ironman02I used to think that Tiger breaking Jack's record was almost guaranteed. There was just no way that he wouldn't win at least 19. Obviously things have changed since the cheating scandal and all the injuries. Now that he has gotten past the divorce and appears to be healthy, his swing is completely screwed and he has lost his mental edge. It might take a while for him to get that back, and it's quite possible that he might never get it back.
That said, he's still ahead of Jack's pace. I believe Jack won major #15 at around age 38, #16 and #17 at around age 40, and #18 at age 46. If Tiger can stay healthy for a few more years, get his swing back, and start gaining confidence, it's still completely possible, and even realistic, to expect him to break the record. However, I think the chance of all those things happening are slim to none at this point. Tiger will probably never be what he once was, and right now, it looks like he'll never even be close to his former self.
I hope he does win 19 majors though. Nothing against Jack, I just like Tiger more. Maybe it's just because I wasn't even born when Jack was dominating, while I've been around for all of Tiger's success. Whatever the case may be, I want Tiger to start playing well again. -

Well then, he did things right, didn't he?
I honestly don't give a crap what people do in the privacy of their own homes or hotel rooms, but if you are a celebrity and you do stupid stuff and it blows up on you...then there's nobody to blame but the person in the mirror. -
sleeperTiger is done. He won't win another major.

And if the stars of yesterday had the kind of paparazzi and media following them 24/7 Id bet there would be countless scandals and stuff blowing up in their face. But they didnt so they come off as lookin like good guys. Which im sure most of them were...but not allWriterbuckeye;859312 wrote:Well then, he did things right, didn't he?

My grandfather was the same age as Jack. He new Jack and had been out with Jack at restaurants and on the town a couple of times back in the 70's and early 80's. My grandfather (who by chance was not a very nice man nearly as much as one would hope) said that Jack was awful with waitresses and other restaurant employees.
It was just different before all the cell phones and stuff. I'm amazed how squeaky clean some of the huge stars are with all the lunatics out there. -

I disagree. What we learned is that if you are banging 20 some women on the side in addition to your smoking hot Swedish wife, you can become almost super human and make billions of dollars playing a game.
It wasn't until AFTER the bitches were done that the dream died. -
ricolaused to be a big Tiger fan, but he's getting pretty much what he deserves. Wouldn't surprise me if he never wins another major, and that's fine with me. Amazing to see how he has gone from the very top to less than an average pro golfer. No way he even makes the cut this weekend.

This.
He used to have that intimidation factor where everyone was scared of him. Now, nobody fears him. All he is today is a "name draw" to these tournaments. Plays like shit but people "oooh & ahhh" because of the name.
Only way he gets back on track is to fire his swing coach, get a new one and goes back to banging every skank he can find at every dirty Denny's, Waffle House, etc that he can find (he can do this now with no remorse/clean conscience). That seems to be when he had his "edge"....when he was super cocky (no pun intended). -
ZWICK 4 PREZUntil he finds someone who actually knows the golf swing, he's done. He's still too talented for me to say he'll never win again.
He'll never win again with Foley though. If he goes to the right coaches and gets back on his grind, he'll win another major or two. He wont break Jacks record though.
