Your Team....What 3 Players for the Rest of the Year?
-
Ironman92money is not a factor at all
For the Reds....probably wouldn't matter...but I'd choose:
Justin Verlander....SP
Jared Weaver....SP
Jose Bautista....LF
I almost chose Jose Reyes for SS and leadoff
Rotation : Verlander, Weaver, Cueto, Leake, Willis or Bailey....maybe even go 4 man rotation.
Bautista....bats 4th and plays LF...Phillips in the 2 hole. -
se-alumVerlander
Reyes
Bautista -
Ironman92or we could be clever and take Halladay, Lee and Hamels....to take from the competition....or Pujols, Braun and Fielder....
-
karen lotzReyes, Verlander, and it wouldn't matter after that.
Reyes SS
Prado LF
Jones 3B
McCann C
Uggla 2B
Freeman 1B
Bourn CF
Heyward RF
Rotation: Verlander, Jurrjens, Hudson, Hanson, Beachy
Pen: O'Flaherty, Venters, Kimbrel
Bench: Hinske and Brooks MFing Conrad
Maybe take a RH reliever, Hanrahan as a set up guy or another bat for the bench. Berkman. -
Ironman92There are Philly, Braves, Indians, Mets, Yankees fans on here...let's hear it
-
Ironman92Hanrahan would give the Braves the Nasty Boys
-
karen lotzMoylan has started throwing bullpen sessions, hopes to be back by the end of the month.
-
gorocks99Reyes and Verlander for the Red Sox too. Reyes comes into a position the Sox haven't had locked down since Cabrera in 04, Verlander plugs into the rotation and gives the best 1-2-3 in baseball.
CF Ellsbury (L)
2B Pedroia (R)
1B Gonzalez (L)
3B Youkilis (R)
DH Ortiz (L)
LF Crawford (L)
C Saltalamacchia (S)
RF Reddick (L)
SS Reyes (S)
Verlander, Beckett, Lester, Lackey/Fill-in, Wakefield/Fill-in
Aceves, Bard, Papelbon in the pen -

How do you hit Reyes 9th? -

Yea, Reyes is the best leadoff man in the game.Ironman92;849714 wrote:How do you hit Reyes 9th? -
gorocks99You don't, I just plugged him into the lineup where Scutaro is now. The one issue with Reyes is it'd be tough to bump Ellsbury from the lead-off.
Ellsbury: .320 BA/.890 OPS/17 HR/68 RBI/31 SB
Reyes: .340 BA/.889 OPS/4 HR/35 RBI/32 SB
I guess you plug him in at the top and bump Ellsbury down to the end of the order? I'm not sure though. That's why managers make the big bucks. -
BigAppleBuckeyeThe injury to Ike Davis has killed the Mets, so if we are strictly talking this season, would love to see Prince Fielder man first base, and slide scorching Daniel Murphy over to second base (left side of the infield is fine with Reyes and Wright).
Would love Halladay heading up our rotation, moving everyone down a peg, and would love an exciting guy in our outfield like Andrew McCutchen, who would be a triples machine in Citi Field. -

Must be nice to have a lineup so loaded that its hard to place a guy hitting .340 w/ a .380 OBP.gorocks99;849723 wrote:You don't, I just plugged him into the lineup where Scutaro is now. The one issue with Reyes is it'd be tough to bump Ellsbury from the lead-off.
