Nnamdi to the.........Eagles

  • lhslep134
In the past 2 days they've added 2 pro bowl corners from the West. Look out.

Asante Samuel is your 3rd CB in Philly....man

And with the way that Offense puts up points, the Eagles are gonna be dangerous now with a D(well at least a secondary)

Christ. Personally, I dont think they overspent either. 12 million a year is a lot of money for a CB. But it isnt as much as I expected him to make (ie the Jets).

Great I hate living near Philly now all I get to hear is eagles winning the superbowl blah blah blah

Asante, Nnamdi, and Dominique and Kurt Coleman. Loving it. Too bad I'm not an Eagles fan, but they'll be fun to watch for sure.

With the way the NFL is shifting into turning the league into flag football, I think teams are putting more emphasis on their defensive backfield. We will see more and more teams pay DBs big money. The NFL is shifting into an era of dbs.

Somewhere Mike Greenberg is sitting in his living room drinking wine spritzer's listening to Celine Dione's "All by Myself".

Seriously, Greenie's been talking about this guy to the Jets for months.

    I'll drink one with him.

Was glad to see him go to the NFC.

As a steelers fan, the last place I wanted him to go was the Jets. That would make them the frontrunner in the AFC

    Agreed.

Does this mean they cut Samuel? Or will Rodgers-Cromartie play safety?

    Instead....the Patriots are lol

Steelers should still be the favorites. The Patriots haven't won a playoff game in a long time. Ocho and Haynesworth won't change that.
  • Hb31187
Id take the Pats or the Jets as the pre season fav in the AFC. Thats just my opinon

Considering Nnamdi can guard a TE if he has to, I wouldn't be surprised to see all 3 on the field at the same time.

One of those guys are going to be very unhappy that they are the nickel back

I don't think so. I think they will all be on the field the majority if snaps and I'm sure philly will gameplan a specific job for each player. Designate a receiver for each maybe.

Maybe you are right, however it is a silly waste of resources. You'd be better off with two elite guys and paying your 3rd guy the market rate for a 3rd DB. It's kind of dumb to tie up so much money in to the CB position. Especially if the 3rd guy will only be on the field for passing situations. Now if they were to move Rodgers-Cromartie to a safety, then you might have something there...

Stick to talking baseball and trolling the Cavs little guy. The league is becoming less and less physical because of all these bogus rule changes, which leads to more teams passing. It's ok to spend money on dbs.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/29/expect-to-hear-some-asante-samuel-trade-talk/related/

Pro Football Talk thinks Samuel might be on the trade block. He is currently not at camp due to an "excused absence" and doesn't play bump and run coverage like DRC and Nnamdi Asamough (sp?) do. Apparently the Eagles are going place more focus on bump and run this season
