Reds vs Braves....Game 3

  • Ironman92
Reds are 16-11 when I start threads....despite Dusty.

Sunday night on ESPN might be a nightmare.

Several things are going against the Reds. First, as you noted, it is a nationally televised game. Reds never seem to get it done when they are on national TV. Second, the Reds haven't won back to back games sinice May I believe so I would be surprised if it happened now. Third, the Braves have owned the Reds for several years. I would lay my cash down with the Braves

Reds have a big advantage with Willis on the mound.

    Mid June. Still pathetic.

Janish is back, that negates any advantage the Reds had.

Probably and 4 of them are in the lineup

At least Fredi split them up. Uggla batting 4th between McCann and Freeman. Wilkin Ramirez starts over Hinske in LF.

And let's not act like this is the 2005 Willis either.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if Atlanta strikes out 13 times tonight.

Not 2005 Willis, but he has thrown the ball very well thus far, and he has always been tough against lefties.

Will McCann play? Seems like David Ross hits a HR every times he gets the chance versus the Reds.

I'll be there tonight. Let's hope I'm the lucky charm that helps the Reds break this "unable to win 2-in-a-row" curse.

pretty sure Ross starts when Hudson pitches

I thought it might be possible for Ross to get the start tonight after yesterday's sweat shop of a game. He looked tired at the plate and I think left something like 7 runners on base thru 4 innings. Fredi doesn't like to have both Chipper and McCann out of the line up on the same day. Ross has been Hudson's personal catcher for the last month or so.

    I hope not.

With the tying run on 3rd and one out, would you rather have Willis come to the plate than any of the other starters? If so which ones? How about tying run on 2nd and and two out?

I wouldn't take him over any of them...but he would probably have a better approach than 1/2 of them.

Brewers lose. If the Reds win they are only 3 back. This may be the worst division in mlb history.

I'll be there tonight. I have a pretty good record at games so far this year so hopefully it continues.

Unfortunately I'm missing the biggest home stand of the season for the beach with my wife's family.

Without a doubt. But remember, the 83 win Cardinals won it all in 2006.

Very true, just have to get in.
