It was pretty much a captain obvious statement -

Con Alma....^^^this was my point. Maybe a guy like a Willingham or Ludwick can give the offense a boost and get them into the playoffs. I'm not saying those guys are going to get them a ring but for godsakes at least TRY.
Like disco stu said "anything can happen." I can't see the hurt in giving up a A type prospect to get a right handed stick. Those guys are crapshoots anyway. You just don't part with your "core" players. -

yeah, I agree. I don't think we are a championship team, but our division sucks so that gives us a chance. Or we can sit on our hands and play for next year and then bitch and moan when we struggle to a sub .500 record.BR1986FB;839622 wrote:Con Alma....^^^this was my point. Oh I think Hannahan is a gold glover. But his stick is so bad....he doesn't even start anymore. Maybe Oakland or Seattle has a worse tandem than we do at first/third.Con_Alma;839573 wrote:Jack Hanahan is excellent defensively!!!! I agree. Footwedge missed the mark with his statement. -
iclfan2Looks like the Tribe wanted to give the Sox an early lead. Since Masterson is pitching that is probably all they're gonna need.
-
TBone14Hell of an effort today boys. Go get em tomorrow. 1 run down? Might as well be 20.
-
MulvaWe are Edwin Jackson's collective bitch. 1 run might be too much to overcome.
-
wes_mantoothThis offense is very difficult to watch. Fuck you front office.
-
BRFYay-ah!
-
TBone14'Oh Travis Hafner with a drive to right!!'
Ball caught 70 feet in front of track. Well done Matt. -
iclfan2Carerra with a 2 out base hit to score LaPorta. Tie ball game.
-
wes_mantoothLol....masterson should murder everyone on this team
-
iclfan2And just like that Carerra gives them two runs. You freaking moron. If Brantley is in center that doesn't happen. Garbage.
-
TBone14Carrera drops a routine flyball. Would have ended inning. 2 runs score. Unreal. Masterson cannot catch a break.
-
TBone14Tribe take the lead 2-1. Oh wait..
-
TBone14Tribe with more errors in the last 2 innings (3) than runs in this series (2). Fantasic baseball.

That's been the story of this team all year. The defense, outside of Druby and Jack have SUCKED major ass.
I think this is the decline of the team here. Too many injuries to overcome and a FO that isn't willing to do anything to make them better. -
FootwedgeIndians have the worst first baseman in the American League. Only Smoak has a worse batting average, (not by much) but has hit 4 more homers than LaPorta. Our third baseman is young, but has never hit much in the minors. OCab is wayyy over the hill. Our catcher can barely hit his weight and 2/3 of our outfield is out till Sepetember.
Meanwhile, the 3 teams with by far and away the biggest payroll are rolling towards the playoffs.
Fuck baseball. -
grodtThe A's 1B have hit .214 with 3 total HRs this season. LaPorta has struggled but he's not that bad.
The defense wasted another great start from Masterson and the offense still can't figure out that vaunted White Sox pitching staff. -
hoops23I love that we have a team where we can say, "well, our guy is bad, but he's not AS bad as this guy"...
SMH... -
hoops23BJ Upton is not in TB's line up today. Wonder where he went? If, in fact, he was traded.

hoops23Never in doubt.

BRFStick the fork in because we have reached that "fork in the road" and taken the southern route.

LaPorta is horrible. As bad as his offense is, he's fielding is worse. Next thing you'll try to peddle is Hannahan's 217 batting average. You've been dummied down by Cleveland sports teams.
