There is a market for stubbs for sure and We know Hernandez would go to sf but that would be it. Do u wanna trade bullpen arms? They have performed.

Renteria, Gomes, and Lewis wouldn't be traded. They should all be DFA'd.

I'm not saying trade all these guys, but Hernandez, Hanigan, Cairo, Heisey, Lewis, LeCure proabably don't have any long term future with the Reds. Obviously some have little value but Walt I'm sure will look to clean out some 40man spots if they decide to sell. You DFA the other guys.

wow maybe this will pay off.

The Reds will not score a run tomorrow. Bank on it.

On the contrary. They'll score 15, and then get shut out Friday against the Braves.

Hope they don't score since I'll be there, but not counting on it. The Pirates do this a lot. Win the first 2 games of a series, get everyone's hopes up for a sweep and then lose...usually poorly with lots of errors.
  • dave
yeah they are due to put up double digits so they can call themselves one of the best offenses in baseball.

That's exactly right. Seems like the last game of any series they hit 4 HR and score 8 or more.

Janish went 4-5 tonight, all singles obviously. Wasn't it on here someone said Rick Sweet said he was getting it together. He needs to be the coach next year. He knows almost this whole team.

Why can this team not beat the effing Pirates? There was a stat that showed that thye Reds had at least 6 wins against the other Nl Central teams and are now like 1-7 or 8 against PITT! No excuse for that! I don't care if the Pirates are in first some how right now...This Reds team just doesn't look good at all offensivley anyway!

Call up Sweet and send down Dusty.

Votto and Phillips have been awful this series.

Move Phillips to leadoff. Shake up some shit. Do something.

according to Tracy Ringolsby (The Jim Day for the Rockies) Jerry Walker Walt's Top aide is @ Coors Field tonight and guess who is pitching Ubaldo Jimenez does this mean a deal is soon?? Coincidence? yeah right

Reds now 1-9 in the first two games of the last 5 series. Tonight was more of the same with runners on 3rd and less than two outs. In the two games the Pirates have scored the run in each of their three tries, each time without a base hit. While the Reds have failed to score the run in each of their 3 tries. And those three runs the Pirates have scored have been the only runs scored in the series! To me that is fundamentally bad plate approach for the Reds, like they are trying to score 3 at a time when you have a significantly easier opportunity to score the one, and each time they would have been the tying or lead taking runs.

You can say the pitching was very good, but in those situations, no matter how good the pitching is, I think it reflects so much more as poor hitting proficiency, than it does as good pitching proficiency.

I belive before he went 4-5 he was hitting under .100.

    WOw.......this team......awful hitting.

As I stated a week or two ago that the reds score 2 or less runs more than they score anything else. Awful.
They are high in the league in run differential, and there are teams that are about even in run differential but have much better records.

Too much relaint on the long ball.
