Two Bengals arrested in a week. What a classy group of dudes.
  • killer_ewok
Actually three from what the link said. Pacman Jones, Marvin White and now Cedric Benson.

And now the Chicago Bear Benson starting to show himself.

I'm guessing this might signal the end of his time in Cincy

lol, didn't benson get in trouble last off season? I doubt he escapes punishment this time.

Oopsy didnt see it at first glance....

no way this signals end for Benson with Sincinnati. If anything, this lowers his market price and makes Mike Brown giddy. Yay, now fewer teams want him and we can underpay for a starting running back. We'll come in 40 million under that new salary cap after all.

Why is this team so dysfunctional because it is a mishmash of castoffs with criminal records.

Need a probation officer not a coach here soon. It's just dissapointing to the point where I dont care anymore.

I don't care about these little incidents, as long as they aren't getting DUIs, shooting people, or raping people it's not that bad. They played better when this shit was happening before.

Yeah, cause we all know they don't put up with this kind of thing in Cincinnati.

Are there more players getting in trouble this offseason? Or are we right on pace? Just wondering if Ray Lewis' prediction is coming to fruition. Lack of structure leading to mischief amongst the players.

I have a feeling that the trouble is not coming to an end either. After all, Ben hasn't even raped anyone yet.

Ahh yes. I forgot about the Marvin White arrest.

If anyone would know about football players and criminal activity -- it would be Lewis, now wouldn't it.

Only NFL player I'm aware of who actually got away with murder.

I'm not counting OJ, since he was already retired.

Right now, Cincinnati is, I believe, about $50 million under the new salary "floor" (about $63 million under the cap ceiling) which means either Brown is going to need to spend a shitload of money OR the Bengals will get penalized. Should make Bengals fans happy.

I heard that Mikey was due to spend over 60 million to meet the salary floor. He will take the penalty, we will just add that penalty to the myriad of false start penalties accrued by Andre Smith.

I hate the Bengals. I hope the lockout never ends.

The Bengals (and Steelers), may just go from lockout to lockup.

The reason the team is so dysfunctional is Mike Brown's ownership. As you alluded to in your post, Brown loves these types of guys because their worth on the market is de-valued. Why else do you think they kept Chris Henry around despite his 5th run-in with the law (and against Marvin Lewis' wishes). All Mikey Boy cares about is $$$ in his pocket and his own ego. If the Bengals win 3-4 games a year most years and make the playoffs once a decade or so it is all good in his mind.

Nobody with a sound mind should support this team again until the day the team has new ownership.

You don't have to school me on the ineptitude of mike brown, I have wanted him to play in traffic for decades.

So hypothetically, Mike Brown kicks it....Katie Blackburn takes over? Excuse me while I cut myself.

Yeah Blackburn didn't exactly seem like somebody who should be running the team during "Hard Knocks"
