LOL Toothpicks getting kind of dry these days and no calories - he's got to keep his strength and stamina up for this long strenuous haul of managing!

Stubbs was robbed on that strike 3 call, another bad one!

scouting report on John Jay is in, Homer has been pounding the zone today. Hopefully Jay can't catch it.

Homer getting set-up for late inning disappointment again. I think you take him out to put Bray against Jay and Descalso, and Rasmus if neede, unless you are planning to have Homer go the 9th instead of Coco. Dusty one batter too late to the mound!

    Not a good feeling....just sayin
  • dave
    Give him 1 more batter.

Homer is wound so tight, acknowledge the crowd jackass. Great outing though.

    WDD! WDD!

CoCo has had a week off, he is well rested and should be given the ball today.

If he blows up, its mental not physical. If it's mental, well, he has a long leash because I don't think Reds brass have the best confidence in Massett as closer.

Tony out managing Dusty this inning!

    WDD!

Oh boy, Molina is gonna K or hit one out.

Bray has been very average lately. What was Homer at, 85 pitches?
  • mhs95_06
Now they've fooled around and let Bray face no lefties. He could have taken on Jay if Dusty would have brought him when he should have, and then they wouldn't have hit Punto with two out and none on. Then Dusty wouldn't have been sharp enough to leave Bray in for Rasmus if Tony didn't take him down to start the 9th.

Did Phillips really put a little mustard on that very good play? If he did I sure wish he wouldn't have ( just too risky)
  • Ironman92
Cozart is pretty much Janish without the pop.

I think he did, and I was concerned the ball was going to come out when he came down on his glove like he did.

You referring to bat pop or arm pop?
  • Ironman92

Looking at what Cozart did in the minors, you knew he could hit the ball hard.

Cozart will be rubbing that one in the face of Lynn for many years to come(ex-teammate at Ole Miss).

Big insurance run! You know what that means -- Coco issues a lead-off walk to immediately negate that run!
