Ironman92Large vbookie thread with many huge odds up and ready....please go play!

Laley23Bring it home guys. I may be posting this weekend, pending 3G coverage on the lake. Hopefully my negative thread works (although is it negative even when its true? Cause we blow donkey dick). If I am not seen posting here all series, and we win, someone will have to take the baton for the Yanks series, and Ill take over again at a later date.

TBone14Still left 15 guys on base yesterday. Shoulda won 21-2. Why can't we cash in on every opportunity? This team is so frustrating.
Go Tribe.
Tigers win today. Back to 2nd. -
BRFI just have to laugh everytime I hear the announcers talk about no team wanting to trade right now because they all think they are still in it! How ironic!
And we still suck! Hahahaha! -
jordo212000Indians have been rough lately but they are still in the thick of a pennant race, I'm not sure why some of you are on ledges right now.

The Indians today placed closer Chris Perez on the bereavement list and recalled right-hander Josh Judy from AAA Columbus.
Perez is in Gainesville, Fla. after the passing of his maternal grandmother. He is third in the American League in saves with 19.
Judy has spent most of the season at AAA Columbus, where he has gone 2-2 with 12 saves and a 3.30 ERA in 27 relief outings. He has 39 strikeouts and 16 walks over 30 innings, with the opposition hitting .241 against him. Since May 13, he owns a Triple-A ERA of 1.08 and has not allowed an earned run in his last eight outings.
Judy was up with the Tribe earlier his year from May 21-25 and made his Major League debut against the Reds on May 22 at Progressive Field. He pitched an inning, allowing two hits and no runs with one strikeout in his only big-league outing to date. He wears No. 45 and will be in uniform tonight at Cincinnati when the Indians open a three-game series at 7:10.

HereticWho'd be the closer without Perez in the event of a save situation before he returns?

Thats a good question. Perhaps the other Perez though I'm not overly comfortable with that. Someone said Adam Miller was the closer now in AA, not sure what the situation would be (arbittration etc) in C. Perez was out longer than expected. My guess is with the call up, might be thinking Judy. -
grodtThe person I would like to see do it would be Pestano, but I have a feeling Acta might just play match-ups and see who's left to pitch the 9th, or maybe even pitch match-ups there. They've all pitched great all year and I can see him being comfortable using any one of Perez/Sipp/Smith/Pestano.

Pestano would be my choice too. I think closer's are overrated unless your name is Mariano. Especially when your BP is as good as the Tribe's. Just go with the matchup. -
Fab4RunnerI am bummed about Chris Perez. I was going to wear my Let the Rage Begin tshirt to one of the games and was hoping to see him pitch. Hopefully he isn't gone long.
Oh and today is his birthday...such a bummer that his grandma passed away so close. -
royal_kI would guess the closer tonight would be Pestano. He has been the most dominant of the candidates.
