sonofsamWill he sign with Pittsburgh 1 year worth 2 mil? Answer expected from Jagr later today...
-
gorocks99Heard it would be earlier today, but obviously no answer yet. I fully expect he'll be a Penguin before the day is up.

I am hoping. -
like_thatHow old is he, and how well was he playing in the Russian league?

He's 39, and in the IIHF World Championships last winter he had 9 points in 9 games. He put up 50 pts in 49 games in the KHL last year. Still a serviceable player I'd imagine ... a 3rd liner perhaps. -
like_thatI would say that's pretty solid. I think he could be serviceable. 2nd or 3rd line?

End of LineJagr has pretty much disappeared.

Yeah, what up with that? He's apparently in New York but ... no one seems to know. -

Not looking good for "decision day" Wondering if the announcement will come at 11:59 PM... If so, that tells me its the same ol' Jagr. -
End of LineThere were pictures of Jags at the airport.
This is reminding me of when Malkin went missing after his flight from Russia in 2006. -
GoPensJagr will announce tomorrow. Pens do resign Aaron Asham. Still don't have a good idea of what he brings to the team since he was out for much of the year.

End of LineForward enforcer, great forechecker, and can put up a decent amount of points.
He can also fill in the top 2 lines if needed. -
End of Line

GoPensGod, he looks really, really old in those pics. If he becomes a Pen again, he MUST regrow the mullet.

I agree.
Boom!

jordo212000I've never really been a true hockey fan. But I still remember the days of playing NHL 95. That was a great game! The NHL was awesome during the 90s. Not sure why I don't get into it anymore.

Which Airport? Prague?
Well, Svboda said the announcement would come today... 8:52 PM and still nothing. I am beginning to think they are using Pittsburgh as a ruse to see how much money they can actually get... -

End of LineSvoboda is snake oil salesman.

End of LineIf this is true.........

TedShecklerPens offer withdrawn.
-
gorocks99Hahaha, wow. High comedy here.

TedShecklerDetroit is out.

sonofsamWas a nice thought i guess... But once again, Jagr has managed to screw the Pens over. If he were smart, he would call Mario and admit his foul up by taking so long and ask for the deal back for less money. Now instead of retiring the #68, they should burn it.

HereticSo, apparently, he's talking about coming back and then basically disappearing while his people say he'll make a decision soon. Which seems more like he's trying to stroke his ego and possibly wrangle more money out of whatever team he's playing for overseas. Unless I'm missing something.
