Shit....the AL couldn't even get out Edgar Renteria out in the biggest series of last year. Renteria is one of the worst hitters in the NL this year.

88/500 is not a .352 clip lol More like .176. Other than that, thanks for compiling those stats for us.

I know, but I complied their total ABs and Hits...but I combined their average (added). So it wont add up, I guess I could make it a separate line.

The problem with Cabrera is he doesn't do it often enough to be considered one of the leagues best. His average is dwarfed by the best hitteres in the league.

Pourquoi? Miguel Cabrera is EASILY one of the top 3 hitters in baseball.

I don't agree with the "easily" part.

He's having one of his better years it seems and he's still only hitting .294. That doesn't exactly put him in the top three. I can't find a category offensively that he's in the top three in. Can you help me?

You are thinking of Asdrubal, we are talking Miguel. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/c/cabremi01.shtml

Based on so far this year from what I've seen:
    1. A-Gon : easily the best hitter in the bigs right now. Hitting .358 and is on pace for 30/150
    2. Matt Kemp : huge bounce back year from him. Tearing the cover off the ball
    3. Albert Pujols: He's hurt but the guy is still a stud.
    4. Jose Bautista: His power is freakish and he is hitting for average
    5. M-Cab: Himself and A-Gon very similar
    6. Ryan Braun: Sure he is shitty fielder but he can rake
    7. Paul Konerko: Idk how he is doing it but he is
    8. Prince Fielder: Currently on the every other year plan
    9. Curtis Granderson: Finally hitting lefties
    10. Robinson Cano: Just b/c the list wouldnt be complete without a MI or Yankee

HM: Votto, Tulo, Castro, Bruce, Ellsbury, and Reyes.

Ryan Braun is a shitty fielder?

Yes. There's a reason why he was moved from 3B to OF. And to be honest he is just as bad in the outfield but it's easier to hide out there.

If you watch some his games, I'm guessing you probably haven't, you would laugh at some of the routes and angles he takes on balls hit to the outfield.

Firstly Cabrera is hitting .327 this year not .294? I'd say .327 with 15 HR and 50 RBI is pretty great...especially considering he plays in the ocean called Comerica Park

Italics Prince has had 1 year in 6 that was "poor"...last year.
    Bold Granderson is a Yankee.

    Prince Fielder
    06- .271 BA, 28 HR's, 81 Rbi's
    07- .288 BA, 50 HR's, 119 Rbi's
    08- .276 BA, 34 HR's, 102, Rbi's
    09- .299 BA, 46 HR's, 141 Rbi's
    10- .261 BA, 32 HR's, 83 Rbi's
    11- on pace for .306 BA, 43 HR's, 139 Rbi's

His averages in '06, '08, and '10 come out to be .269 BA, 31 HR's, and 89 RBI's. Not horrible, never said it was, but nothing compared to his odd year totals. His averages in '07, '09, '11(current pace) come out to be .298 BA, 46 HR's, and 133 RBI's. So in odd years he bats .29 points better, 15 more homeruns, and 44 more RBI's.

We were talking about two different Cabreras.

Bird dog....I disagree and while I've only seen Braun in LF about 50 games....I just disagree that he is a shitty fielder. Throw whatever stat out there you want my eyes have interpreted things differently than yours.
