First off... the kid is a dumbass.
Second, he cries like a bitch. This is another situation where someone cries because they were caught, not because they are sorry. He seems to be crying because he was caught and has to face potentially bad circumstances like possibly losing a college scholarship and shot at the Olympic team and not because of what he did. Also, the article points out that he only came out with the apology once he had already been identified by the public probably in some form of media.
The article tries to excuse his act by saying that the car was already trashed and it wasn't like he was shoplifting or hurting other people. No, he was only trying to ignite the gas tank of a police cruiser that was surrounded by hundreds of people... what he was doing obviously wasn't that heinous... bull shit.
