Any catchers on the list, or do they get beat up before they get enough games?
  • Ironman92
Azu.....Bob Boone looks to be the closest of that group....all no's I believe

There are 3 left with Reds ties.....2 actually played for the Reds......1< I think on the Big Red Machine!
  • Ironman92
    I see a longtime catcher at #3
  • mhs95_06
    Geronimo?
  • Ironman92
    Nope..
  • Ironman92
    .....correct that...Geronimo is at 545!

He is NOT the member of the Big Red Machine I was speaking of.....though most will not consider the guy I'm speaking of.....but he was on the Reds in 1976 and played in the ALCS

I knew as soon as I said BRM that Geronimo would be guessed...I remember Dad telling me how he batted 8th and hit over .300, but he didn't say just for one year!
  • Ironman92
    5 more including #1 and #3....still 4 more over 500

George McBride, another light hitting SS who started his career with the 1901 Milwaukee Brewers. This one didn't come from my mind, but discoverd it when I was looking up Belanger after his name came out of memory from when the Reds were in the 1970 WS.
