well there is the craftyness and ball handling, I think Rubio will be better than most expect, it's a pick and roll league now and he's been running that at a pro level since he was a teen, he will need to get stronger and get better on d

I really dont think hell do much at all, if anything. I really dont like how slow, non explosive he is. I mean if you can shoot, it wouldnt be so bad . But he has no outside shot, and showed in the FIBA championsihps that he has trouble finishing with long athletic players in the paint. I think hell be average at best, but I may be surprised

Edit: not to mention he doesnt have much to work with in Minny aside from Love

Luckily for the Twolves they picked another great young PG in that draft. Jonny Flynn. Oh... Wait? Haha no on second thought he's not good either. Kahn sucks so bad
  • SportsAndLady
Been hearing a lot of good things about Norris Cole, from Cleveland State, at these pre-draft workouts. Lot of people think he's the 2nd best PG in this draft.
  • Hb31187
I dont know if he was a product of his conference being not that great...or if hes just a beast. But the numbers he put up this year were pretttty daman impressive

For the record, I've never been high on Rubio either.

I don't think he'll be as good as he was hyped up to be, but I do think he could become a serviceable PG just because of his playmaking ability.

    Norris Cole?

    I think he is legit.

Yeah I was talkin about Cole, sorry. Kinda looks confusing with all the Rubio talk.

Surprised there is no talk about the lockout looming. Will there even be a season next year? If not what will be the implications? Based off the few articles by "NBA Player X," it doesn't sound good.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the NBA is canceled or at least shortened up big time. It'll be 10X worse than the current NFL lockout.

The NBA is screwed up in finances as is.

i'd be shocked if there wasn't a substantial lockout...like at least until january or february
  • jordo212000
Yeah a lockout is coming but Stern, the owners, and players are complete morons if they miss any substantial time. Find a way to make a deal. The league is more popular than ever and has a lot of positive momentum. A lockout would wreck that. Just ask the nhl what a work stoppage will do to your league. Heck it took MLB several years to get back to where it was

Not really a "rumor" out there but a caller called in to WKNR and proposed a hypothetical trade that involved Carmelo Anthony and Lebron. The on air guys seemed to agree that it would be a good fit for both sides. Lebron would be able to have the ball in his hands and Wade would have it in his with Melo as an option. Not something that would happen but the conversation was interesting.
  • Commander of Awesome
Miami would hurt in that deal as Melo doesn't play any defense and in NY LeBad Games would screw up the team bc he plays defense.

The Gasol trade just became mainstream. They talked about it on PTI earlier

Yeah sorry just looked it up...
From salary cap expert and ESPN contributor Larry Coon on Twitter: "Heard there's something to it. Lakers may have offered [Pau] Gasol for [Kevin] Love and the No. 2 draft pick. No indication that Minny even has Love on the table, although the No. 2 can be gotten. Doubt Minny would do Love and No. 2; doubt LA would do Gasol just for the No. 2. Is there a compromise in the middle somewhere?"

It's been said that Gasol, after Andrew Bynum, is likely the Lakers' best trade chip. And with new acting owner Jim Buss a big fan of Bynum and unlikely to trade him, Gasol becomes the de facto top trade chip for the aging Lakers.

So while a deal such as this may not see the light of day, it could indicate the Lakers are open to moving Gasol to get some younger talent.
So Love and the #2 pick for Pau. If it's a possibility and I'm Mitch, I'm really thinking about this....

Saw someone tweet about that earlier. They said if they were Gasol and the Lakers traded him to Minnesota, he would retire on the spot.
  • devil1197
Love and the #2 for Gasol would be terrible for Minny.

They would get a player who obviously wouldn't wantto play for them.

It's Minny. They drafted 3 PGs in one draft.

They are close in talent level, but I love Kevin Love's game. In a year or 2 Love will be the better player. Kupchak should get exec of the year if he talks them into giving him the number 2 as well.

Absolutely nothing would shock me with KAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNN.
