Reds @ Dodgers...game 3
-
Ironman92The bullpen is well-rested....but I only want Bray, Ondrusek and Cordero to be used...maybe Masset
-
mhs95_06Lewis gets the big RBI to take the lead with the infield playing in!
-
Midstate01Some nice at bats this inning.
-
Ironman92Billingsley sucking as well.
-
Midstate01Close wood. Got the stare down from the ump haha
-
Ironman92God these umps are pissy....Wood busts his ass like no other pitcher down the line...gave the ump the safe sign as he crosses the bag and then acts against the call in a minimal way...jackass ump stared him down almost back to the dugout.
-
Midstate01Hesiey just missed that 3-1 pitch
-
Midstate01Then swings at ball 4
-
Ironman92Heisey strikes out on ball 4...but he is a poor choice for a leadoff hitter...especially after Stubbs has 3 hits the day before and is 4/9 off of Billingsley.
-
mhs95_06This is a weird line-up for a weekday day game. Rolen is in there and he's usually out, but I guess his day off 2 days ago for a sore foot and his good contact the last couple games is why he's in there. And both Bruce and Stubbs out!
-
Ironman92Ok...I agree this ump sucks on that same outside call...he calls it against Barajas...but maybe Barajas slipped him some words that first inning after the Renteria at bat and the pissy umpire is just showing him who is in charge.
-
Ironman92Billingsley with his 8th hit in 6 at bats versus the Reds this year.
-
mhs95_06Travis Wood, you've had the good fortune of having the lead now after that near disaster 1st inning. Take the opportunity to get your pitching back on track. Homer will be back soon and you are the #1 candidate to go out of the rotation.
-
Ironman92Dee Gordon...pesky
-
Ironman92Edgar and Phillips turn a big DP

Very jealous of you, that you get to listen to Skully. He's the fuckin man. I heard something about him knowing like every little detail about basically every player. Has a little notebook or something that he keeps everything in.
Same thing that Bill Raftery (sp?) does for colllege basketball. And Derek Rae for futbol games.
I love that stuff with announcers. -
Midstate01Skully just said renteria was 15 when he signed with the marlins. Did it because his dad died when he was one and his mom was raising 8 kids in a 3 bedroom house. Their were actually 14 of them but 6 died shortly after birth. Wow!!!!!

Dad died of reproductive exhaustion? -

Lol -
Midstate01Ok. Productive out I guess. As long as rolen doesn't k or hit into a dp. Should get a run.
-
SportsAndLadyNeed to take advantage of these situations, something they haven't been doing lately.
That Fred Lewis double has been a rarity lately (men on base, <2 outs..someone gets a hit) -
Ironman92.....poor time for a joke...but yes, probably
Renteria has done pretty well for himself I'd say......could you even imagine that scenario?
