I hate to say it(after the Buster Posey stuff), but he needed to run through Barajas. -
daveyep or slide to the right and touch the plate with his left hand. can't go foot first into the catchers ankle if he's blocking the plate. bruce has always been a poor baserunner though.

davegreat play by joey

Great play by Cueto and then even Janish can't properly execute the run down play, and it has to revert to BP and Cueto to finally get it done right. -

I might keep watching the game just to hear him. Reminds me of being a kid and hearing him on NBC's Saturday Afternoon Baseball. And after the game I will go ride my bike with baseball cards in the spokes and take it off some sweet jumps. -

Hope you have tickets already or are getting them right now, it may be a sellout by sunrise! -

That kind of cheating by Barajas is what causes the violence at home plate. The rule is you cannot block the base without the ball and catchers do it routinely, just enough to hold the runner off until they do get the ball. Since the runners cannot count on having a clear path to the base when the defender doesn't have the ball, they can rightfully bowl over the catcher. Then they are labeled dirty players, when the root cause of the violence is the umpires not enforcing the rule.
