I think the umps get it correct on that force out at 2nd more often than is commonly thought. They miss it more, by far, on tag plays than force outs!

Gordon having trouble but in his defense he was in pony league last summer.

Does he have a poor average against german pitchers or something? lol

I honestly believe that I could get Stubbs out right now.

    And I haven't pitched since 8th grade.

    No homo.

Lol how much longer do we just ignore Stubbs' strikeouts? I mean I love the guy, but it's starting to piss me the F off.
  • Midstate01
i honestly have no idea why they call him that... I just sent a text out to get the story!

    nice ab there by stubbs...

Thinking back on tag plays, my recollection is that both Cairo and Hernandez are timid about getting good tags down. Is that a Latin player tendency?

My wife has been bogarting the TV all night. I'm just getting control of the TV back and I definitely thought this game would be further along than it is...

So whose gonna fall asleep, and whose gonna make it up for the whole game? Was gonna go down to UC tonight, but got lazy, so i'll be watching this one in its entirety...just trying to see if this thread will be a ghost town by midnight or if people are gonna be up.

We have a pretty young following on here, so I'm expecting some good convo tonight...don't fuckin let me down OC

Back to Stubbs on defense. What young American (guess that doesn't matter) grows up with the skills to be lightning fast and talented enough to play well in the majors...but is hesitant to slide in the OF.

Somewhere Jim Edmonds is saying that he could've made that into a top of the week web gem and Andruw Jones and Ken Griffey Jr are catching that ball on the feet with smiles on their faces.

I'm not comparing him to those guys...but God bless it...you can't keep my 36 year old, 50 lbs overweight ass from diving in the OF helping the varsity softball team.

    Lol come on....

He's not hesitant to slide/dive...he just made a bad read on that ball and probably didn't think it was catchable. He's had quite a few diving plays this year.
