Reds @ Giants....Game 4

Ironman92Sunday Night Baseball
Volquez vs Sanchez
Low scoring fo sure -
Azubuike24Jonathan Sanchez starts for the Giants. If there is ever a situation Volquez can build off his last start, in San Francisco, at night and against a banged up lineup is the best place for it.
-
Ironman92My bad..was thinking Cain
-
riders1I'll be at Rooster's watching the Red's on 1 screen and the Mavericks win on another
-
jordo212000at least Volquez will get to pitch in that mammoth ballpark. Should be able to get away with more mistakes in SF
-
SportsAndLadyReds win 5-1
-
RotinajReds need this game to get back on track imo. 2-2 isnt bad but i think a 3-1 series win over the defending champs would really give this squad their confidence back.
-
Ironman92Starting pitching!
-
Azubuike24The Dodgers stink too. The Reds, in-theory, should win 2 of 3 there, but they failed to do so at GABP last weekend. They will face Kershaw but he's been hit hard lately. Game 3 will be Wood/Billingsley, which didn't turn out great last Sunday either.

mhs95_06Stubbs 8, Phillips 4, Votto 3, Bruce 9, Rolen 5, Gomes 7, Renteria 6, Hernandez 2, Volquez 1
-
daveonly 4 white guys today, Gomes does not count. Still not sure why Renteria bats 7th, has Dusty given an explanation why Ramon hits 8th?

I have no idea? Maybe he feels like Hernandez has a better chance of knocking in Renteria than vice versa.
Just my guess. -
Ironman92Dusty gives the worst reasons ever.
-
Ironman92Uh...went to go vbet but there is no game thread....damn lotz must've forgot
-
davevolquez could dominate with this late afternoon start. they won't have a clue when his change up is coming.
-
se-alumDusty wastes the Stubbs walk by not having him run. No chance they can throw Stubbs out on a steal.
-
davehe tried at least once, don't think he's a good enough stealer to be given the sign against a lefty.
Sanchez was on the ropes, 15 pitches after Stubbs and Phillips made him work, then 2 pitches to get the DP ball. -

Sanchez is slow to the plate w/ a below average move, Stubbs is good enough to run on that. -
mhs95_06BP demonstrates the value of a long, firm tag!
-
se-alumEdinson wearing a logging chain around his neck??
-
se-alumESPN has some terrible camera work.
-
davecueto is dealing now. sanchez is pitching a normal cueto game.
-
davescotty! bat speed looked nice there.
-
daveso close to a grad slam, Rolen prob should have tagged.
-
Ironman92Renteria gets a grand slam in Cincy...sac fly in SF
