Ironman92If/when Dallas holds and wins the NBA Championship....will this be most you've ever wanted the eventual winner to win in the 4 major sports?
-
wes_mantoothNah. Although I want dallas to win, it is just the nba. I would say that I cared more about the packers winning this past super bowl.
Or are we just talking nba? -
sleeperInteresting question, but yes.

While I am not a Cavs fanatic like some, they are my second favorite team since the mid 90s. I would say yes, but that is coupled as well with the fact I love Dirk and hate the Lakers/Bulls...who have won pretty much every single championship lol. Also dont like Pistons, Spurs (cant stand Timmay), or the Celts.
Id say it is a combination of me being a big fan of Dirk, as well as not wanting LeBron to win. -

This.....but I would still be extremely happy with a Dallas win. -
Ironman92Sorry, I reworded the question and forgot to put the 4 major sports.
I suppose the hardcore Browns fans wanted Green Bay to win...or maybe even Dallas in 1996 more than the Mavs if they were never big NBA/Cavs fans. -
Laley23Oh, if we are talking about all 4 sports, than no way. I hate certain teams more than I would EVER hate a single player.
-
Ironman92Ok...not trying to rub it in...I'd guess some wanted the NY Giants, Redskins and 49ers to win back in the 80's more than LeBron's team to lose.

You are correct....football is much more important than nba.
The nba is 3rd on my preference in major sports....i do not follow hockey at all. -

Yep. I will care more about ANY random NFC team beating the Steelers or Ratturds in a Super Bowl than I will care about Dallas beating the CHeat. Football is numero uno in my book and in the city of Cleveland.
Only reason I even give a flying fuck about Dallas winning this is because of the way Lebron shit on Cleveland. If the dumbfuck would have handled his departure the RIGHT way you MIGHT actually see some C-Town fans pulling for him. -
Ironman92I knew the Browns were número uno...but I figured many on here weren't really old enough to hate Elway and didn't know if LeBron could out malign the Steelers.

haha, no way. -

Elway, Jose Mesa, Red Right 88, The Shot, etc are ALL reasons why most older fans take issue with Lebron. After the Hell long time fans have been through only to be shit on by that clown (Lebron) on National TV is pretty much unforgivable.
Steelers are always Public Enemy #1 -
I Wear PantsYes. Of course I'm only an Indians fan so...
But I think I hate Man U as a Chelsea fan more than I hate the Heat. -
Ironman92The "shot" is an awesome highlight...but overrated IMO.

Jordans first moment. Not saying he wouldnt have been "Jordan" without it. But it did start his legacy (in the NBA at least). -

It is an awesome highlight but another dagger in Cleveland fans hearts. If Michael Jordan doesn't exist, the Daugherty/Price-lead Cavs teams probably win a few titles. -
Little DannyI am not a Cavs fan, but I wanted Dallas to win real bad after ESPN annointed them the champs after going up 1-0 in this series. I remember sitting in my car on my drive to work listening to Mike & Mike and Greenie was saying it is over.

Ironman92Didn't Jordan go for 63 in a playoff game in the Garden before that?
-
Laley23Ironman92;798333 wrote:Didn't Jordan go for 63 in a playoff game in the Garden before that?
of course, its wiki:
"It was the first among many game-winning shots Jordan would make in his playoff career. In Game 4 during the second round of the 1993 Playoffs Jordan would make another series winning buzzer beater on the same end of the court, in the same building giving the Bulls their 4th playoff series win over the Cavaliers, that time a four game sweep.
It is one of many dramatic sports moments at the expense of a Cleveland team—Red Right 88, The Catch, The Drive, The Fumble, The Decision, The Move and the 1995 and '97 World Series."
BUT, yes he went for 63. And they lost. And they got swept. -
Ironman92His 17 foot jumper to win the NC?
-
Laley23Ironman92;798357 wrote:His 17 foot jumper to win the NC?
I said in the NBA. Though, while it was the game winning shot. I cant stand when people say it was a buzzer beater. There was 20 damn seconds left! -
Ironman92Agree...somehow the Hoyas? Went down and passed the ball to James Worthy.
