Reds Brewers game 3

    Leake vs Marcum

    Looks like another tough one

Wish this was a day game

    Stubbs
    Phillips
    Votto
    Bruce
    RENTERIA??
    Lewis
    Cairo
    Hanigan
    Leake

I would rather Leake hit 5th instead of Renteria. Bruce probably won't see a pitch near the strike zone tonite.

Man, those 5-9 hitters just do not scare anyone, and simply are not producing. Walt needs to be active in the trading period.

I agree. So that means they probably score 10 runs.

Lewis, Cairo, Hanny is not a bad 6-8. It's been a lot worse over the last 15yrs. Definitely need an answer for the 5 hole though. Edgar at least seems like he's at his best with runners on so maybe he'll make Dusty look good. It's not like he has much to work with, we would complain if Gomes was 5th too.

Well the Reds haven't made the playoffs in the last 15 years (before last year) so that isn't really saying much.

This team should be a contender (world series, not just NL central), so they need to be treated as such. Those 5-8 hitters will not win this team a thing.

Gonna be a long day. Think I'll go outside, ugh!!
This team isn't good enough the way it is to win this division.

    Ugly top half.

Votto with a nice piece of hitting to serve one to left.

Phillips is 1-for-his-last-13, 7-for-37 since moving back into the No. 2 spot. #reds
  • Rotinaj
This team is so upsetting to watch. Their offense is horrendous. WTF is going on??
  • mhs95_06
Cairo and Hanigan failed to immediately go after Counsell's playable pop foul and allowed it to fall. It cost Arredondo 7 extra pitches and cleared the #9 spot, setting up the Brewers to start with Weeks leading off the 8th and have a much better chance to have a scoring 8th.

All of Bruce's hot hitting lately is not resulting in many wins! It seems that he is just getting the Reds back in the game that they end up not being able to win, giving them an early lead which they give up, or taking the lead in the tenth on which they blow the save and blow out their bullpen in a 19 inning loss.

    Frustrating but its still early.

Not gonna lie, I thought it was a shallow pop out.
  • wildcats20
    Shut er down CoCo!
  • wildcats20
    Only 439....
  • Firad
    Reds Win 4-3
  • Ironman92
439 is an idiotic estimate by the person in charge of that

The fence is 400 feet where he hit it out and he hit the "W" in WLW in the orange just below the freaking boat. had to be 30-35 feet above playing field.

That ball goes out in CF of Houston by a goo bit.
  • riders1
And this one belongs to the Reds! Another titanic struggle!

The calculation must be flawed! Is 439' how far away from home the point it hit on the batter's eye is? Not calculating how far it would have gone on the trajectory it was on to get down to field level?

Two 2-run homers win it along with a clean job by the bullpen in a game that dusty says he can "pitch to the off-day"!

The Phillips HBP was a bad break for the Brewers, and the K of Hart by Masset was big too.
  • Terry_Tate
Lol at the 439 estimate. That was a bomb.

(just had to get my post in since the Reds won)
