  Pittsburgh's secondary is terrible! William Gay should be cut, Ike Tyalor is having his worst season ever and playing without Polamalu is showing up big time. I don't blame the front 7, they consistently stop the run and they applied a ton of pressure today, some of those passes that Gradkowski threw up were wounded ducks and the Steeler DB's couldn't defend them.

  Welp, good thing I love college bowl season, so I still have a reason to care about football. Six losses, all by six or fewer points, this season. In their four game losing streak, they have a six-point loss, two OT losses and today's loss in the final 10 seconds. Some years you have it, some years you don't. An inability to finish off opponents is the nail in their coffin this year.

  The Browns effectively eliminating the Squealers from the post season Thursday night would be awesome...and about the only good thing to happen in Cleveland this year...

  Not always, New England went 11-5 last year and missed the playoffs.

  And with Pittsburgh having five conference losses, even if they would somehow win out (which just seems like a laughable concept right now), they'd need a good bit of help, in all likelihood.

  Yes, they are done, and I am a fan of them. Changes needed for next season;
  1. O-Coordinator; Bruce Arians.........made some calls this year that made me say Whoa! Or make him rely on the ground game more.
  2. DB Coach; that's where it starts, now onto # 3
  3. At least two new DB starters at Free and replace CB Gay. And I am done listening to announcers talk about how Ike is one of the best coverage CB's in the league, because he is not, and if he is, I'm bringing out the spikes.
  4. I think we miss the versatility of Foote, Farrior is purely a run stopper. More athletic ILB's
  5. QB Coach; Ben is still holding the ball too long. His career won't last if he continues this.
  6. More defensive starters on our punt and kick off teams.
  7. Back to the basics of tackling during practice, because our defense needs it..

  We have key pieces missing from all three levels of the defense from last year. Smith, Foote, McFadden, Polamalu. And I can't remember a true cover corner since Woodson.

  I would play Joe Burnett and Keenan Lewis this week.
  
  Might as well give them a shot.
  
  I know Burnett dropped the interception but still can't be any worse than William Gay and they need to get some experience anyway.

  He's consistent with the other defensive backs.
  
  But I think they should play those two guys a little bit more and see if they can make something happen. And see how they do with a little playing time so they know what they have for next year's draft.

  I am a die-hard Steelers fan and I can't help but admit that this season is over. What a pathetic performance coming off a Super Bowl winning season last year. They started the season in the tank, but went on a nice run to improve to 6-2. They've now dropped 4 straight and people are really evaluating the wild card race and looking at the possibility of Pittsburgh making the playoffs? Here's the answer to all the schedule analysis of the remaining teams in the hunt for the wild card ----to make the playoffs, the Steelers would need to win out, which would require them to be playing their best football in December down the stretch. They simply are not playing their best football right now. Hell, I don't even know if you can call this football what they're playing. I look for them to finish their last 4 games at 2-2 with losses to the Ravens and Packers. At 8-8, the Steelers will have no shot at a wild card, fans will be mad as hell, and changes will need to be made this off season. Many have commented on the changes needed already so I won't ellaborate there. Tomlin stays, but Arians needs fired and I think Lebeau will retire. As far as their playoff chances go, don't even bother discussing it.

  They've been complacent and sloppy since the first game and it's carried over from week to week.
  
  Too late to change that now.
  
  A lot of people keep saying how they're not finishing but I'm sick of how they've been playing the first three quarters. It shouldn't come down to one must stop drive in every single game, against Chicago, Detroit, Kansas City and Oakland. No offense to those teams, but the Steelers should be up like three touchdowns at halftime in those games.
  
  If it's 10-6 going into the fourth, well yeah of course there is a good chance you're going to get upset, because you jerked around and made stupid mistakes and left the team in the game.
  
  Start off the game focused, execute, stay focused, execute and don't let it come down to a nailbiter fourth quarter.
