Boston Red Sox @ Cleveland Indians series thread...

Not bad for the "fading Indians" as ESPN claims.
  • OQB
Before the games they play a video on the big screen in above the bleachers about all the reporters and analysts saying how we were going to be horrible and not going to contend, and we have a mess the size of lake Erie, etc....then they play highlights of the year to the song "We're not gunna take it" haha it's a pretty sweet video and gets you pumped up!

Crawford has sure been playing better lately. That was a rough rough start for him in Boston

    LOL. WOW!

I haven't opened up the scorecenter app since I downloaded the MLB.TV app.

A little off topic but I find it funny when everyone screams at Cleveland to "get over it", yet they ask LeBron (and also debate his sincerity on First Take) about the Cavs draft picks and also tonight on Sports Center, the opening montage had a teaser about a "Cleveland Revival" and who do they show, none other then the guy WE need to get over.

Wow, Cleveland with 3 straight topics coming up on Sportscenter..

Eduardo Perez (who still has Cleveland love) said AC is by far the best SS in the AL...

His pace numbers are RIDICULOUS.. Something like 36 homers and 122 RBI's...

Hes def having a damn good year. I think if i had to pick one SS from the AL, Id take Andrus from Texas, not having his best season...but his range and defense is pretty unreal

    God ESPN is terrible lol.

The subject "Indians on a roll" was basically used up on the BoSox and what they did wrong... SMH.

Yeah that behind the back flip was pretty damn nasty

I just don't understand how the Indians keep winning, especially without Grady and Hafner. This might be the most improved team with all of the same players back that I have ever seen.

Development in the pitching staff/bullpen and confidence can go a long way. Believing you can win is almost as important as talent itself...

Now, the Tribe has both. But the crazy thing is, Choo and Santana are off to slow starts, though both keep showing signs of breaking out of it, and we've already had our depth tested with Grady, Hafner, Talbot, Carrasco, and now White injured...

To go into more detail.. The Tribe's pitching was HORRIBLE last season. Bullpen was bad. Towards the end of the season Chris Perez was instilled as the closer. It gave a sense of stability to the Pen and the Tribe actually finished the season on a high note. They've carried that momentum into this season. 45 games in now, which is a pretty decent sample size for sure... I'm not sure how many games the Tribe lost after the losing leads in the 7th inning on last year, but I know it was A LOT.

Holy smokes. I plan to go to a movie after the game, then the delay hits so I had to leave in the 7th. I come home to THIS?!?!??!?! How amazing. Just made my night!!!

    GO Windans!
  • hoops23
Haha, was wondering where you were at during this..
  • hoops23
@MLBastian: Over his past 14 games, Indians SS Asdrubal Cabrera has hit .421 (24-for-57) with 5 homers and 13 RBIs. #HoHum
    Absurd.

Haha...Eduardo Perez, the guy the Tribe traded FOR Druby...the irony.

Go to bed down 2-1 but I know this team NEVER gives up and seems to find a way to get it done night in and night out.

Thanks for bringing home a "W" gents ! WAHOO !!!

Great news to wake up to! Lots of different newer posters, too. Go Tribe!
  • Swamp Fox
And on it goes...Can it be? Will the Tribe still be in contention in September? Can this team get to the Series or will they have a human stretch when they drop back? I'm beginning to believe that this just may be the year of the Indian.
