Seems like this is a trend.... he is way to trigger happy considering he has a top five player in the league to pass to. -
The Boss
Yeah, the Thunder are fine. Need to make a few adjustments though--and absolutely have to have a sit down with Westbrook.friendfromlowry;772438 wrote:You know, on a more "normal" night, Dirk isn't going to be THAT efficient in scoring and Westbrook isn't going to be THAT awful....

GTFO.
LMAO...no shit. -
The BossLaley23;772529 wrote:If you are OKC, I think it was a decent game one. If Dirk doesnt go for 50, you are RIGHT there with a chance to win.
Even if he does go for 50 they were right there. And Terry shot well too, so basically they showed that they can keep up without much trouble when those guys are going off. I think the key for the Thunder (other than Westbrook playing like trash--if he shoots 40% they win) is not to let Barea get 20+ on a high percentage. It seriously looked like they didn't know who he was--like they didn't watch the Lakers series. I know he's pretty good, but he's not THAT good. They didn't respect him enough with their defense and he smoked them. No excuse for that. If Dirk goes for 50, not much you can do but you can stop Barea. I don't think they should double team Dirk, that will help them stay out on shooters. They have a few guys who can contest his shots pretty well, and what else can you do besides that? On A LOT of nights he'll make well contested shots, so what is the point in the double? Especially if they aren't forcing it from his hands and if they're having that much trouble rotating. Dirk wouldn't have gone for any more than he did without the double team last night.
But maybe they can't beat the Mavs, because Barea is a badass. He does get to go home to Ms. Universe after all. Dude doesn't have a care in the world, "if I play well, I'm going home and banging Ms. Universe, if I play bad, I'm going home and banging Ms. Universe." -
The BossWow Durant...WOW.
-
friendfromlowryJames Harden is like the anti-Westbrook in terms in efficient scoring. AND he has a great beard.
-
friendfromlowryDurant and Harden making things difficult for Dallas.
-
The BossBarea isn't real. Someone please tell me this is a dream. I think he's a Monstar and he stole someone else's talent.
-
The BossMan. I always thought James Harden would be a good NBA player, but I never coulda seen him making a shot like that. He's on his game tonight.
-
Laley23Harden, Maynor, and Collison (along with the obvious Durant) have been the story of this game. Just playing unreal basketball.
-
friendfromlowryInteresting call, Scott Brooks keeping Westbrook and the starters on the bench towards the end here. Guess if it's not broke don't fix it...

It might work for this game, and Im inclined to think it could be a good message. But its walking on thin ice with the starters not playing in the 4th quarter. If they (Westbrook) dont handle it well, it might backfire in the coming games. Is this win worth it, given you couldve won with the starters also? -

Van Gundy just said something smart! Westbrook better understand that it's bigger than him right now, this isn't about him. It's about winning the game. -
wes_mantoothDirk with his best Paul Pierce impression

Of course he better, but will he? Thats the key, and I guess Brooks knows his players better than anyone else, so there is that. -
The BossOh, no, I have no idea if he will or not. I'm inclined to say no, but who knows. I was just shocked I agreed with something Van Gundy said.

lol, aint that thr truth.
btw, I loved Jacksons comment "James, doin' it the Harden way!" -
friendfromlowryDirk really is one ugly motherfucker.
Good game. Glad OKC could steal one on the road. It'll be interesting to see how Westbrook responds. -
sportswizuhrdI thought it was interesting that Brooks said during halftime something along the lines of if they couldn't do it, he wouldn't put them out there. Hopefully Westbrook doesn't take the benching as a lack of faith in his abilities to get it done and sees it for what it was(Maynor playing well).
-
The BossOKC getting shit on. 35-12 Dallas Dirk's with 10 minutes left in the 2nd lol
-
The BossOKC has done a solid job getting back in the game--slowly but surely. 72-58 with 11 left.
-
The BossSuch an ugly game.
-
KR1245OKC had some awful possessions down the stretch. Westbrook is a heck of a player but that kid needs to relax and slow things down. That three he took with a couple minutes left was turrble
-
RotinajWestbrook has 11 assists in 3 games. That is beyond pathetic. If he doesnt fix that i dont see OKC winning another game.

I really don't see him changing. He wants to be the man....DURANT needs to rip his ass.
