Game 41 - Chicago Cubs (Carlos Zambrano) at Cincinnati Reds (Homer Bailey)

  • mhs95_06
It was good fortune(Pena chopper) and good execution(hit and run) to put the Reds in a bad spot(1st and 3rd with no out). From there though, I think impeccable defense would have allowed no runs.

Did anybody else notice Bailey look into the OF and say something to/about Fukudome after he tried to throw him out from RF? Looked like he took some offense to that

    I noticed that.

I don't really mind it too much, but it is kind of a bitch move.

Probably the dagger there with the way Z is pitching.

Anytime I see a game against the cubs in cincy it just reminds me how much I can't stand cubs fans.

Ehh just run faster Bailey. This is one of the unwritten rules I dont understand. Guy is just doing his job and trying to get a cheap out. If you dont like it, run full speed

I wager that if you asked Scott he would say it was a "bad" throw. The error he was charged with adds credence to that.

And it seems to me baseball players stare at each other more then any sport. If a guy strikes out, seems like he stares at the pitcher or looks back after he's started walking back to the dugout. Just seems like baseball players are always staring.

So the two run gopher ball that Homer gave up, along with the defensive foibles in the other 2-run inning, put the Reds in a really dire spot in quest of this win!

The throw was right on line. Should've been stopped by Hanigan.

Im about 20 mins behind. Just saw Gomes' wild swings. A lengthy slump and you are trying to hit it over the smokestacks? Smh

Stubbs has been hitting the ball very hard lately, even on the outs.

Big time AB here for Brucey.

Brucey with a RBI single to right and it's 4-3.
