Either you are hurt or not. I'm getting tired of him sucking ass on the course and WD'ing with so called injuries. Did he really re-injure his knee in 9 holes? He might be truly injured, then he should have just stayed away this week.

I assume he's claiming he's withdrawing due to "injury"?

He had all damn week to get an idea of if he could walk/swing well on it or not. Since he golfed like ass, of course it hurts again

Yes. He said he hurt his knee again and is limping.

I believe he is saying knee AND achilles injury today?

Achilles injury occurred during the Masters and was the reason why he didn't swing a club until Monday of this week...

my buddy texted me and is saying Tiger only limped after poor shots. He didn't even flinch when he was staring down a good drive or an approach shot.

All week they have talked about these two injuries. It's not like this came out of the blue today. Personally, I believe it is a combination of the injuries and him play poorly.

That's what people were saying during the US Open a few years ago, but he was actually grimacing after some good shots too. It is amazing how people notice details when it fits their own preconceived perceptions.

These two injuries that he said were 100% and cleared to play by doctors?

or his excruciating neck problem last year here? lol. sorry, he's the boy who cries wolf when hes sucking it up.

Yup...sounds like just another excuse to detract from his poor play. His reputation and persona keep going farther south. It's too bad, because he used to be at the top.

Damnit, I'm such a Tiger fan...but he's done. Stick a fork in him.
  • The Boss
Might as well withdraw, he's in it to win only.

May never see a guy fall from the top the way Tiger has ever again.

Ehhhh. He looked pretty good at Augusta on Sunday. Besides, Phil is 5 years older and still winning majors. He is obviously pretty close to the low point(last year was the lowest) in his career and he still has 3 top 5s in his list 5 Majors. That would be a career defining stretch for most golfers.

I'm not debating that he plays it up more on his bad shots, but I think it is easier to feel the pain when the outcome is bad.

I despise Tiger, so this makes me smile!

It is amazing how quickly he fell from the guy who was destined to break all records to a schlub who may never win a major again. No gradual decline or anything. Just one day he was a king and the next he's just some guy with a big name and no results.

That's why a return to the top COULD be just as fast.

Am confused. Are you calling him a pussy or saying he withdrew to go GET some pussy?

    Doubtful.

Typically dont climb the ladder as fast as one falls from it.

He played a practice round at the TPC Sawgrass Players Stadium Course on Tuesday and said the knee and Achilles were sore but he felt fine before teeing off Thursday morning.

"As I played, it progressively got worse," Woods said. ". . . The treatment's been good. It's been getting better. It just wasn't enough."
