Hopefully this win puts a spark under their asses because watching them play makes me want to cut myself.

It is great to be able to win it in their last at bat...and to have comeback wins....but that can make a team that is complacent early in ballgames.

I was on a teams that were very, very, very good and we had quite a few big rallies late to win games.......even in state games....and I have coached teams who ya got the feeling that they just coasted until later in the game....... ya do get a little ho hum early in the games. Now....to a point it is good that ya dont get too nervous....ya dont panic...but also to a point it is bad because it really gives you a smaller margin of error.

The whole team needs to come out a bit more focused early on...that goes for hitters and pitchers alike. Heck..maybe the coaching staff needs to be a little more urgent early on as well..I dont know......this late inning stuff is great to watch at times....but it also is a bad habit to get into. In a number of the losses they score a few or get the winning runs on in the last inning but fall short because the percentages are against you in baseball even if the ball is thrown down the middle of the plate.

This team needs to wake the fuck up in the first half of the games.

They have always made average lefties and new pitchers look like Cy Young winners, today was no different. I don't think that will change any time soon.

Lyon is garbage, he almost blew a save last time they were in town when Ramon hit that ball back up the middle that was barely fielded.

Credit goes to the pen, if they can keep the offense within a few runs these types of games will happen more often. Lately when starters have left behind the pen has continued to give up runs.

I was noticing that too. At his age he wants to call a winner a World Series winner.
