Tribe hosting the Tigers April 29, 30 and May 1
-
BRFOK, we just came off a great home stand sweep against the 2nd place club and are looking to keep this thing going. The Tribe enters this series with a record of 16-8 and holds a commanding lead of the division at this point in the season. It seems as though we are clicking on all cylinders right now, so let's see what happens.
For the first game we will be having Gomez going for us at 0-1 with a 7.36 vs. Scherzer, off to a terrific start with a 4-0 record. That does not look like a good match up to BRF. Can the Tribe take the momentum to give Shit-zer his first loss? This game starts at 7:05 at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario.
In the second game, it looks like we have not decided who will be pitching for us. This is a 6:05 start at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario.
In the 3rd game, we will be slinging Justin "Bat" Masterson, going for his 6th straight victory of the year. This game starts at 1:05 at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario.
Keep the "mo" going, Tribe! -
Laley23Scherzer will probably beat us, with Gomez going. But I like not having to face Verlander and very excite to watch Alex White (though Ill be working).
-
grodtI'm very excited for Alex White's debut. It'll be a nice distraction from studying for finals.
-
OQBChecking in!
GO TRIBE! -
FootwedgeIf the tribe "only" plays 500 ball for the rest of the season, they will end up 85 and 77....and probably good enough to win this division. God I love baseball.
-
OQBI am so pumped to see how White pitches Saturday....
-
FootwedgeTribe leads all of baseball at plus 41 runs in total score differential. Move over '95 tribe.
-
iclfan2Can't wait to see White as well. Let's go Tribe! Lets win tomorrow and start it off strong!
-
derek bomarI'm still in shock that we're doing this well...but hey, I'll take it. Go Tribe.
-
hoops23I may, just may, have to go and see these guys Saturday. I really want to see Alex White pitch in person.
-
OQBI think I may go up Saturday too!
-
royal_kI'm going up tonight. I wish I was going tomorrow, as I don't like tonight's pitching match up. I'm taking my brother, who is a Tiger fan, with me. Hopefully It's not a long ride home. lol

THE4RINGZThese are the series the Tribe needs to win to be considered a contender. Can't lose 2 of 3 to mediocre teams.

Including me. -
Laley23Now, Im not saying we cant win the series and I think we can, because Detroit is REALLY struggling right now.
But if you go into series against any team that is around .500 thinking you cant lose, it will be a long season. Especially when you consider we have Gomez-Scherzer and then throw out a rookie, who while he has sick stuff and serious upside, is making his debut almost a year before the Tribe wanted/thought he would. -
royal_kExactly Layley. If we take 2 of 3, I'll be surprised.
-
lhslep134I'm thinking of rounding up a couple friends and venturing up there for Alex White's debut. I'm very excited.

What other MLB team do you root for? The White Sox? F*** THE AL CENTRAL! GO WHITESOX & TRIBE! -
TBone14Scherzer isn't going to go through the season undefeated and the way the Tribe are hitting the ball they can get to him. The Tigers haven't been tearing the cover off the ball, so maybe Gomez can sneak through 5 or 6 and only give up 3 or less runs. I'm optimistic.

Im not saying we cant win, and Im about 50-50 for tonight because of the reasons you listed. But lets not kid ourselves, the pitching match-up is not favorable. ' -
royal_kHeading over to Tiffin to pick my brother up, and off to Tribetown!
Go Tribe!
