Reds @ Cardinals...Game 3

mhs95_06One quick run could win it for the Cards in a game that is delayed in the bottom of the 5th.

That's exactly what I was thinking after the double. Could end up being a problem if EV doesn't get out of this mess quick. -
sherm03And that could be the back-breaker.
Let's just hope it holds off long enough for the Reds to scratch up some runs in the top of the 7th. -
mhs95_06Molina got the pitch he was looking for and hit a game winning 3 run HR with 2 out and the rains coming!

gerb131Prob the worst/most boring game I've ever watched.

jordo212000No offense again. Need somebody other than Votto to step up!
Heard that Heisey was getting some practice at 3rd. Maybe he'll log some innings there? To me that suggests Rolen is going away for a while. -
Ironman92Heisey at 3rd? Seems like a stretch.
I'll tell ya....I hated Brandon Phillips batting 4th. But with the lineup ineptness and Rolen out. I may throw a lineup out there like this:
#1 Drew Stubbs
#2 Miguel Cairo
#3 Joey Votto
#4 Brandon Phillips
#5 Jonny Gomes or Jay Bruce
#6 Jay Bruce or Jonny Gomes
#7 Ramon Hernandez or Ryan Hanigan
#8 Paul Janish....or Miguel Cairo at #7 spot when Renteria is in for Janish.
BUT....Dusty and Jacoby HAVE to sit down Phillips and tell him what he needs to do. Phillips has admitted pressing to knock in RBI and to try to hit HR while batting 4th. They need to tell Brandon to keep the chip on his shoulder by whatever means and play just like he does batting 2nd......not striking out much....hitting line drives the other way and just be a pest. If opposing teams see Phillips hitting behind Votto and lacing singles and doubles to RF.......it's way better than knowing Gomes or Bruce is next to whiff or hit a groundball DP on cue.
Phillips is the best choice to protect Votto.....but he must be aware of what he is trying to do.
