Joe Tait's last game - TONIGHT!
-
grodtI didn't listen to the FSN broadcast in the first half. Did they talk about him a lot? Fred had tears in his eyes at the end when they signed off. I know AC was loving it when Joe used his "Deeep in the Q" call on the Eyenga 3

JerseyBuckBoth Fred and AC choked up at the end of the game. Fans staying long after the game was over to get Joe Tait's autograph. The legend will be missed.

madman11Not gonna lie.....I choked up at the end of the game. Joe Tait is a great play by play guy and an even better human being. Good Luck Joe

WriterbuckeyeMy Joe Tait story...
Back when I was in college (early 70s) I was a diehard Indians fan even though prospects were always grimmer even than today. Anyway, I had had this "lucky" penny that I kept while the Cavs did their Miracle at Richfield thing and I sent it to Tait who was doing Indians games that season. He talked about how I'd sent it in an old aspirin tin, and the Tribe was embroiled in a close game (don't remember with who), so he said he opened it up and commented: Let's see what this baby can do.
Of course, the Tribe immediately got way behind, and Tait said he threw it away (all the while laughing).
I think that was another 100 loss season when it was all over, so my penny didn't stand a chance. -

Here's the only real pic you can see the sweaters in of the Scream Team. Should have taken some of the video board for the intros...
From last Friday's Bulls game.
