It's going to suck for me tomorrow(I gotta get up at 7am), but what a game by the Reds. Great defense and pitching to get out of jams, and then Gomes and Hanigan get a 6 run inning started. What a big win. -

Holy shit...I go to bed (tried to stay awake but crashed) and SD has the bases loaded...I wake up and Cincy wins 8-2. I love how this team wins the close ones. -

Was happy to see Luebke pitching well.....and then it went down hill. I always want the reds to win but didnt want it to come ot the expense of a local kid. Hope he bounces back and throws well the next time out. -

Agreed with all of this.
Who knows how long it will be before Jonny starts regressing to his career averages? He did this last year (fast start) but he eventually tailed off. Bruce and Stubbs are the future. (As is Heisey). Let them play. -
thavoiceWill be good competition out there that is for sure with Gomex and Heisey. I think what hurts heisey is his ability to play more than just LF. That gives them a reason to put him in that role right now.
Gomes is a very good clutch hitter. His avg raises from bases empty, to runners on, to RISP and even higher with RISP with two outs.
