OQB7 game win streak and back to back sweeps!
Go Tribe!! -
OQBMitch Talbot will pitch tomorrow against ?TBD. It was suppose to be Dan Haren but they bumped his start back a day due to the 14 inning game last night in which he pitched.
Should be a good series. -
royal_kGrady had 3 hits in 2 games this weekend at Akron with a doulble and no SO's. Can't wait to get him back.
Joe Smith made 2 appearances with 4 SO. -
OQBWhat's the timeline on Grady coming back?
-
royal_kThey said there is no timeline. They just want to build him up. Not sure when, but I would think sometime on the next homestand.
-
BRFChecking in. Go Tribe!
-
OQBThis team is very young, but I am really impressed with them!
Winning produces confidence, confidence produces wins, and young guys with confidence is dangerous. -
Laley23We miss Jered Weaver, who pitched today, which is awesome. Miss King Felix and now Weaver.
I THOUGHT we might get to miss Dan Haren as I wasnt sure how many innings he pitched versus Toronto in the extra inning game, but it looks like he is only pushed back 2 days. -
GOONx19WOOOOOOO!!!
-
hoops23I don't expect a sweep against the Angels, but 2 of 3 would be nice!
-
oberhausGo Tribe!! What a start.
-

+1
It has been a long time since the indians didn't start out terribly. Even when the tribe had good teams it seemed april was a struggle. -

Yeah, the Indians never do well against pitchers making their 1st ML start.

He can throw a mid to upper 90s fastball and pounds the strikezone according to things I've read. -

ANAHEIM, Calif. – All signs point to the Los Angeles Angels promoting their top pitching prospect, 21-year-old right-hander Tyler Chatwood, to make his major-league debut Tuesday against the Cleveland Indians.
Chatwood was pulled from his season debut for Triple-A Salt Lake after just one inning and 18 pitches Saturday. The Angels’ second-round pick in 2008, Chatwood went 4-6 with a 3.82 ERA for Double-A Arkansas last year.
Just 6 feet and 185 pounds, Chatwood can nonetheless touch 97 mph with his fastball, according to scouting reports. He had 109 strikeouts in 155 1/3 innings combined at three minor-league levels last season. He was listed as the No. 76 prospect in the game by Baseball America.
The Angels are in need of starting pitching with both Joel Pineiro and Scott Kazmir on the 15-day disabled list. They were debating between Chatwood, Trevor Bell and reliever Hisanori Takahashi to make Tuesday’s start.
Bell pitched three innings and threw 44 pitches Saturday before Salt Lake’s game was delayed by snow, so he appears to be out of the running.
“It will be in-house,” Angels manager Mike Scioscia said.
Chatwood’s short outing Saturday was the equivalent of a between-starts bullpen session. He was 1-0 with a 7.36 ERA in 11 innings this spring. If Chatwood pitches Tuesday, he would be the first 21-year old to pitch for the Angels since Nick Adenhart in May of 2008. -

God I am gonna be pissed if we lose to a player from an organization that produced THAT! -
grodtI'm to the point where I know it's not realistic that this will keep up but I'm am just enjoying this ride while it lasts. I'm not sure I could have asked for anything more at this point in the season.

Couldn't agree more. I have been trying to figure out what this means and where I think the tribe will end up. I go back and forth on this everyday for the past 3 days. -
like_thatNot to be a debbie downer, but they probably won't go as far as we would like lol. In 2002 they started 10-1. They ended up finishing the season in 3rd place 20 games back.

Yeah well it's been a pleasant surprise as I expected at this point to be 8 games back. I'm going to enjoy the season for how ever long it lasts.
