Honestly.....I'm not enraged. But I am pissed at this team.

I like that we will have slow pitch softball scores every night....lmao

Just talk about the game or shut the hell up guys.

Someone may have mentioned this (I wasn't reading through all of the crap), but there are ZERO people in the dugout suites, I don't think I have ever seen such a thing. Are those seats even available this year? lol

If they just had some pitching... their offense isn't half bad

Yeah....what do we expect from a payroll equivalent to the 70's.

That's like torture if you have a ticket though. 4+ hour games to watch them lose 20-9, that just sounds painful haha.

I thought that one of the talking heads on WKNR said that this month is the Indians chance to win back some fans. No one is watching the Cavs and the Browns news will be late in the month...so this is their moment in the spotlight. SO GLAD THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE!!..lol

That pitching is in Philly and NY.

Calling you out for your bullshit isn't an "act." I surely wasn't trying to entertain you, so the fact you think it is "stale" means nothing. I will continue to call you out for your busllshit when you post bullshit. So, how about simply not doing it? Anyway, back to discussing the tribe.

We will. It's early in the year, but this pitching rotation and the whole staff is pathetic. I still can't believe how quickly we went from one of the best pitching staffs (Cy Young winner, and a third place pitcher + top bullpen ERA I believe) in the league in 2007, to this bullshit. Indians are living proof why the current MLB structure is idiotic.

I saw that this thread was on page 3 and was surprised so many would comment on this game. Then I found out what half of it was all about. Ha ha! For the record, I'm on the side of those who don't like a fan from another team taking jabs.

BRF's play of the game: the double error on the 3rd baseman.

We all knew starting pitching would be the weakness of this team. I'm not happy with the way the season has started but I'm not gonna flip out over an 0-2 start. This is the life of small market teams.

Reds appear to be on the "up" right now, they have 2-3 years and then they are gonna be in the same position again.

Thing is...teams like us and the Pirates have owners that don't care if we win. Revenue sharing is lining their pockets so they are content. Fuck the Dolans.

I listened to one of the Indians pr guys talking about how they didn't spend when Jacobs had the team...He talked about how they built through the minors. I hate the spinning pr moves of the tribe front office. They are cheap, we know it....everyone knows it.

Yeah...that's bullshit. They had one of the higher payrolls in the early 2000's.

The asshat that owns the Pirates also owns the newspaper conglomerate that puts out a lot of papers along the OH/PA/WV border counties. Dude has money coming from everywhere. Also since he owns all 3 newspapers in our county, the stories are 2/3 the same shit republished, yet people still subscribe to both. Maybe they are Pirates fans hoping he puts it back into the team?

Either way, 9th inning, rally cap time, lol

Yeah, then it derailed on its own as sometimes happens. It was just easier to post a blanket warning in this situation.
  • royal_k
Well the tribe won't be alone in last place. The twins are 0-2.

I know. They did build through the minors and locked in contracts on their stars while they were young. But they also spent on guys like Jack McDowell and some other veteran pitchers and utility guys....some of it worked...some of it didn't. Take 2007 for example: A massive choke from going to the world series and more than likely winning it....did this front office make a move the following year to make another stride...FUCK NO!

*excuse my pissy tone today...i am hungover like a mofo

You have to spend to build your team through the minors, which the tribe did. The tribe's farm system used to be one of the best in the league as well. That pr guy isn't fooling anyone. Jacob did spend too, granted the economy was much better, but when the tribe developed players they spent money to keep them, sometimes they couldn't compete with other teams to keep their players (i.e. manny, or belle), but they did offer a lot of money to keep those guys. You don't win your division 6 out of 7 years without paying your developed players to stay. Also i recall Jacob spending to get free agents as well. Juan "Gone" ring a bell? Fuck that pr guy.
