If c. Carter isn't a first ballot there is not way you can say ward is.

Just because he won two super bowls, doesn't make him a better WR than the WR's he has played against throughout his career, let alone the other players at other positions he played against. He is going to be going up against guys like Moss, Ray Lewis, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Ton Gonzalez, Jonathan Ogden, Orlando Pace, Terrell Owens, Dwight Freeney, Strahan, Derrick Brooks, Charles Woodson, and (insert many other more deserving players than Hines Ward). On top of that you have the players waiting to become HOFers who did not play in the same era as Hines Ward. One prime example is Chris Carter. If Chris Carter isn't a first ballot HOFer Hines Ward sure as hell isn't even close.

Hines was only 2nd team all pro 3 times. Now that is good, but not HOF worthy. He is a bubble candidate AT BEST. "With ease lmao." Try removing Pittsburgh penis from your mouth and while also taking off your black and yellow glasses. What a complete joke. Also lol at idiot capone calling anyone uneducated or a dumb ass.

You follow your "uneducated" comment with this idiotic fail. Professional football began in Ohio, thus the reason why the HOF is in canton. LMAO keep failing dumb fuck.

No Cleveland Clowns fan has any business judging NFL football talent. Nuff said.

I beg to differ. How many rings does Cocaine Carter have?

If only he had a "no means yes" qb and a great d. If you honesly think ward is/was better than carter then you are high.

Coming from the guy who said Joe Thomas is overrated. Nice job using NON's idiotic philosophy.

I would take Ward anyday over Carter. That's a fact.

lol, its time to let the adults talk football now.

Ward will get in the Hall eventually, but won't during his first couple of years of eligibility. I think it'll take several years to be honest.

Hines will definitely make the HoF, but not first ballet. His last rings and still putting up nice stats in his last few years sealed it. I've read several articles about him making it and it will be WELL DESERVED. He belongs.
  • Laley23
He is the prototypical pro. Never the best when he played, or even top 5. But he was always top 10 and did it for a very, very long time. Longevity and big moments will get him in, but it will take a few years.

That is not good enough to get him in the hall. If you put Hines in the hall, then you are opening the door to put in a bunch of other bubble candidates in the hall, who otherwise would not be in there.

Lynn Swann is in the Hall. Hines Ward will be joining him.

Disagree. Not many people are productive that long. Reggie Miller immediately comes to mind in the NFL. HE only made like 2 ASG in the NBA, and was never a top 10 player in the league, hell maybe not even a top 2 two-guard. Yet he will be in the HOF very shortly.

Do us a favor and shut the fuck up!

Hines Ward is the ALL TIME leading receiver in Steelers history.......his numbers are better than Swann and Stallworth and although he doesn't have four rings like those guys he does have two and a SB MVP. If Swann and Stallworth made the HOF, there's absolutlety no doubt that Ward will make it and IMO, rather easily!

Well, since you and capone have nothing going on in your lives except being an idiot pittsburgh homers, have fun waiting until you are 80 to realize he won't be getting in, because he doesn't deserve to be in before the players already mentioned.

Are you just being a dick or do you really believe Hines wont get in the HOF ?

Who said he was getting in before the players listed?

The only thing thats debatable is whether he will be first ballot or not. IMO I don't think he will.

Look at John Stallworth and Swann's numbers. Then look at Hines'. He will get in....no doubt about it. Its not being a homer it...its being a realist.

You keep showing your ignorance on this subject and the fact that your hatred is so fucking blind it makes you stupid. First off, who said anything about Ward getting in before the players that were listed? What does that have to do with his chances of making the HOF? When Hines Ward becomes eligible to be inducted, he will get in.......1st ballot, 2nd ballot, what ever ballot, he's a LOCK!

As an unbias observer to this back and forth bullshit, let me state my opinion.

Hines Ward is a player with an above average chance to make the HOF due to his rings and he also has another year or so to improve his resume. In my opinion he gets in, but saying that he'll be getting in easily is definitely a stretch. Like I said he'll be in, but he's going to have to wait a few years before he gets in, which in my opinion would not equal getting in easily.

He's Pittsburgh's all time leading receiver, better numbers than Swann and Stallworth and both are in the HOF. Hines Ward is a lock to get in and it won't be one of these ten year deals either.

Would you take him over Swann or Stalworth?

That's a loaded question. All three are great in their own right and all three did great things at WR while playing in a run first offense with a team built around defense. The one thing Hines Ward brings to the table that Swann and Stallworth lacked was blocking. Man......I don't know who I would take.
