Oh ok, yeah than we are in agreement. I was just pointing out that in the Barca game, RVP was in very good form, and though it is usually only like a 3 week span with him, when it comes he is about as good as it gets. Thats all I meant, that Barca can be in trouble if RVP and Cesc are both on their game.

As for Torres...did you guys see the fuck-ups he had last weekend? I mean, a few first touches and slams in years past and he dribbled them into the keeper. He looks really bad and scared (hesitant was a good word) out there. Sad to see, as he was so good with Liverpool/Spain just 3 years ago.

btw, remember the Sidney Crosby versus Lionel Messi debate or whatever it was?

Messi this year (after the assist to Villa in this game):
    35 games
    40 goals
    20 assists

I would have to agree that Van Persie is one of the most technicaly gifted strikers in the world. His technique and skill are almosted unrivaled upon most true out and out strikers. He has just seemed to lack the natural finishing ability of a Drogba or Villa, but that's where you have to say the injuries have took their toll. If the form he has shown as of lately continues into his late 20's and he of course stays injury free, he will definently be on his way to being considered one of the top 3 strikers in the world.

I cant believe RVP is back!

Cesc doesnt surprise me, and Puyol is out for Barca. This makeshift backline could be disastrous for them. They are really gonna have to keep possession so their back four arent under pressure. Walcott is the biggest key for me. Him being out takes away a TON of pace that Barca struggled to cope with last leg (and anytime a team has a winger that fast).

BTW, I loved Pep saying a few days ago, "We are a horrible team when we arent in possession of the ball." Which basically says what I think. If they have the ball for 65+% of possession they will win, if not, they will struggle without Pique and Puyol.

I want to hold out and watch the replay, but I know I won't be able to. No way I will be able to NOT check the gamecast.

I'll be stoked for a 0-0 draw. Messi left some chips on the table in the first leg so I won't be surprised if he balls out.

I think your more likely to hope for a 2-1 ET game than a 0-0 draw. If these teams dont score, Ill be SHOCKED. Neither team plays good enough defense and neither team knows how to not attack lol. It just reeks of a great, open match today.

ok, so all that means Ill be wrong and itll be a 0-0 draw with Barca throwing everything they have forward and Arsenal blocking 50 shots today lol:D

Jack Wilshere is in too. He played well in the first leg. I just recently found out he is only 19....what a badass.

yeah. Of all the injuries, I think Im most surprised that RVP is in, followed by Puyol still not being fit. Wilshere and Cesc playing is no shock, imo, and Walcott out was obvious when he got injured.

Ceszny (sp) looked like he dislocatd a finger on the Dani Alves free kick. Almunia in after 19 minutes.

feel like im fucking a dude by cheering for Arsenal, but fuck it. I hate Barcelona and everybody acting like they're the MonStars.

Is anybody elses audio like 2 seconds behind the video? I guess its better than ahead of video, but still annoying as hell.
  • gorocks99
Space Jam reference = eleventy billion internets for you
  • Laley23
Jesus, Messi is so fucking good. What a flick over Almunia to himself! 1-0 Barca, in stoppage time of first half.
  • gorocks99
So Arsenal have to tie it up to advance now...

messi is unreal, but what made that was iniesta's vision

For me, the most gifted eyes in football. Xavi is probably a better pure passer, and a better manager. But Iniesta sees the cracks and has the creativity to get it done with the chic little dribbles or the passes (he did both on that goal)

So that's where Eric Wynalda went to. Always wondered where he went after he got the boot from ESPN. ESPN also gave the boot to JP Dellacamera, so FSC scooped him up too.
