Kobe named #1 player in the NBA
-
SQ_CraziesHey! I'm not one of the ones that proclaims Shaq is still a superstar. But you can't deny adding him puts them in a better position to at least earn the right to play the Lakers. Mo is no superstar either, but you can't deny he is one of the better PG's in the league.

jpake1All those stats are neat and interesting, but this is the one that I personally like the best. I want to know what the best players are doing against the best teams.

SQ_Crazies^Not surprised at all to see D-Wade on top of that list. He has to be for his team to compete with the best in the league. Probably my 2nd favorite player to watch, followed by Kobe or Dirk.

SQ_CraziesLOL, how has he stolen his mojo? So what.
LeBron 28.2 PPG, 52% from the field, 18.9 FGA.
Kobe 28.6 PPG, 49% from the field, 22.1 FGA.
So even with "stealing his mojo" and scoring more points in the paint per game, LeBron is averaging basically the same amount of points (he's actually scored more points than Kobe this year, but Kobe has played one fewer game), and shooting a better percentage on fewer shots....really stole his mojo. That LBJ jumper must be falling now...who stole who's mojo???
And it's amazing that Kobe has to take more shots than LeBron when you compare teams isn't it? -

How, with Bynum, Gasol, and Artest, does Kobe average so many fewer assists, but more shots per game than LeBron .... -
Mr. 300Because the GOAT gets his shots off.

I know your Basketball IQ isn't very high but Kobe has led his team 8 of the last 10 years in assists and this year the Lakers have 5 players who average over 3 assists a game. Its called the triangle offense because many people touch the ball and ball movement is key.
Look up the stats for other teams and I doubt you will find not many teams, if any, that have 5 guys averaging over 3 assist's a game.
This isn't the Cav's offense where Lebron pounds the ball for 20 secs of the shot clock and then either passes it or shoots. -
jpake1^Not going to look up stats, but that's a pretty interesting point you bring up. I like it, if it indeed is true.
SQ- I don't think Wade even has the best stats out of that. I happen to like Kobe's stats the best, even tho Wade leads in points. -
JakeGiantLTrain should know this because I keep bringing that point up on NOSF regarding Kobe's Assists, and Lakers total Assist. As Skyhook said, quite a bit are averaging over 3 a game, and none of them are certainly in the top 20-25 in the Association. But, LA is one of the League Leaders in Assists. It's a TEAM effort.

SageHonestly... Kobe is the alpha dog til somebody takes his chain. I trust the names on that list more than bums like SQ crazies and anonymous clowns here.

AutomatikAhhh is the Kobe crew is getting defensive? Don't you feel a bit off being so obsessed with one player? I'm talking to fans of both. Major man crushes!
I agree with that list. Kobe is #1, but I'd still take LeBron. He has a skill set that has never been seen in the NBA before and hes only going to get better. -

cviewI won't get into the Kobe/Lebron debate. They're 1 and 2 in whatever order you want to put them in. The gap isn't big either way, and the gap between those two is about 1/10 the size of the gap between them and whoever is #3.
And whoever thought Mo Williams is a top 50 player...lay off the crack.
