Can We Say That Except for the Game, Super Bowl XLV was pretty much a Debacle?

  Did anyone else watch when Bradshaw handed the mic to the first speaker on the podium for the trophy presentation, he had a death grip on the mic and the guy was trying to look around to speak and Terry wouldnt let go of the mic! I laughed at that one.
  
  America the Beautiful was OK, the National Anthem was bad, black eyed peas sounded like they were singing inside a can and the Buck and Aikman were average! lol

  I told my friend during the BEP's performance that Arcade Fire should perform at next years Super Bowl. That'd be awesome but won't happen. Next year will probably be Nickelback.......

  My humble assessment:
  
  1. Aguilera sucked, and fucked up the words. But how about those mongoloids and mouthbreathers that cheered her on. Show some fucking pride. I'd much rather they just play a tape or have a marching bancd play that listen to people fuck it up.
  2. If I were in a room with Joe Buck, Bin Laden, and Kim Jong Il, and I had a gun with 2 bullets, I'd shoot Joe Buck in the nuts, then in the face, then use his corpse to beat the other 2 to death. He's a trainwreck.
  3. The black eyed peas were'nt that bad. If Fergie hadn't been there, i think it'd been a decent show. that bitch is horrible and she just randomly would scream over the others.
  4. The game was damn good. Green Bay played so well and really deserved it. but Pittsburgh made them earn it, can't ask for nothing better in a game.
  5. The weather sucked, but you can't hold that against the city. NOLA had that same ice storm 2 days before the super bowl.

  wildcats20, the problem is that most likely the tickets were purchased in the secondary market for about $2400. Throw in airfare, hotel, food and ground transportation, and they're getting screwed, even with the tickets for next year (unless they are allowed to sell those tickets and they're not for their use only). Because, again, no chance their team will be in it, the transportation to Indy, lodging, etc.

  Also factor in they might have been fans of one of the two teams playing. Chances are high that their "team" won't be playing in the SB next year.

  Oh I absolutely agree, but then again they(most probably) got their money back, plus some. It was just a shitty situation all around; for the fans, the NFL, AND Jerry.

  I could never judge any sort of musical performance. Theres no excuse for botching the lyrics but I didnt think the actual singing of the anthem was that bad. I heard them ripping it apart on the radio this morning and it seemed like thats all anybody wanted to talk about at work today. Was it really that bad?
