Super Bowl XLV: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Green Bay Packers

  • Non
Nice season for the Steelers. Fell short. Second ultimately means nothing in the NFL

You either add to the trophy case or you don't, especially when that high standard has been established.

But they did overcome a lot of adversity and had another strong showing in the playoffs and never quit in the Super Bowl.

Proud of my team but this is a sick, sick feeling. That's why it's so great when you win because when you come up on the losing end it's crushing.

    No bandwagon fan here....

Honestly I was only pulling for the Packers because as a former QB, I just really like Aaron Rogers and the way he plays the game. It doesn't change my respect I have for the Steelers and what they have been able to accomplish the past few years or the history of the organization for that matter.

They know how to get it done, and they will be back...I just hope my Browns can get there soon...lol :)

When Jordy Nelson has a career game after Driver is knocked out, its obvious that the Steeler secondary was a weak spot. Analysts hammered that fact all week but most Steeler fans ignored it. Great game plan by McCarthy. Out-coached LeBaeu, no question.

LMAO your a complete fucking idiot. Why the fuck would I make up a story about my parents upbringing. Your probably the same fucking idiot who question me about losing my leg.

I have no doubt in my mind that Pittsburgh will be back in the thick of it in the coming years. I really hope they get this fucking labor dispute settled. I'll lose my mind if there is a lockout.

Just gotta let the haters get their shots in when they can. This is the highlight of their season....lol that should tell you enough about who they support.

My congrats to the legit Pack fan, I've always respected the Green Bay organization.

Was talking about COA and Raw Dawgin', not you. You put the ball on a tee, I swung.

I agree...I mean Wallace had 9 catches for 90 yards and a TD, but you have one of the best young deep threats in the game and one of the best CB's is out of the game...take some shots down field with him....( big ben did overthrow Wallace for a td) but other than that they were just running crossing routes, hitches, and screens. I am sure not having a stable O-line was part of the reason, but Ben is known for extending plays and making guys miss to give him time to throw down field...really didn't get the play calling tonight.

Yea, it seems like Browns and Bengals fans are more excited about the Packers' win than actual Packers fans. Utterly pathetic.

I doubt the Steelers will be back next year. Just because it's tough to go all that way and then lose, and then gear up for another run.

    Not impossible but extremely difficult.

But they still have one of the best organizations and a lot of the pieces are in place. So I don't think it will be too long before they're back in the Super Bowl.

Its fun to banter back and forth, but when it comes down to it...deep down they know where they stand. Either team will be lucky to sniff 5-6 wins next year. The AFC North will be a 2 horse race.

Easy point to make. Again, you placed the ball on a tee for me. You're calling out bandwagon fans for explanations...I called out your boy for the same thing.

Not really. If you're a Browns fan born and bred you like the Browns and whoever is playing the Steelers. Fact.

No it didn't. Proved that we posted from same area. Theres a difference there. Been backed up a few times for Justin and Wes that I only have one account. Nice fail though.

Just like the tshirt I was wearing tonight, "My favorite team is the Browns and whoever is playing the pittsburgh steelers".

green bay had no running game, key players dropping like flys, wide receivers with hands emulating jj hickson, etc...and aaron rodgers still got it done. what a performance by that dude. congrats to the packers. what a ride by them since the second to last week in the season. good season for the steelers but it means as much the browns terrible season did...steelers just played three more games.

also, charles woodson is a man's man. guy deserves to be a champion

Well considering the fact there is probably about 2 legit packers fan on this site, and every Browns fan also hate the steelers. On top of that we have numerous idiot steelers "fans" who don't deserve to watch a championship team.

Yeah I think it makes plenty of sense.

I'm a realistic Browns fan, I know its the Steelers and Ravens division to lose, but we will get back someday.....someday haha until then I just enjoy watching the game of football and the great players that are playing at an elite level.

But when it comes down to it, I am a true Browns fan, and I don't deny it. The Aaron Rogers Avatar will be gone tomorrow....just got in the spirit of the super bowl.
