Carson Palmer Wants Out Of Cincinnati & Will Demand A Trade

  • GoPens
Trade him to Cleveland. Keep him in the North. :D

As long as he is the QB no team he is on will have either of those experiences. Every since the injury he's looked like a scared little girl. I say see you later. The only thing that is bad about it at all is if I know Mike Brown they will trade up in the draft to take Cam Newton.

Do you really think Newton is going to be picked before the Bengals first selection? I don't. If they want Cam, no trade will be necessary.

I'm guessing Palmer ends up in Seattle with Cheaty Petey since Hassleback is a free agent.

Very true, he'll have to go be a backup somewhere.

I have always figured you to be a smart guy but I guess not. :) I should have put a smiley face to show I was kidding. Well sort of. Mike Brown is just stupid enough to trade up to pick a guy he could get a round later.

As a season ticket holder, if the Bengals deal Carson that would be the last straw for me. With Carson under center the team at least has a chance to win. He can have good games and lead them to victories. It wasn't that long ago Gus, Akili, Klingler were under center and every time we walked into the stadium we knew the team had no shot.

There isn't a player in free agency I would rather have than Carson Palmer, and if they draft Mallett or Cam Newton then well that is just another 3-5 years of "rebuilding" talk I have to listen to.

Maybe Carson is bluffing. Perhaps he is telling the ownership if they do not make some changes, ie. firing Bratkowski and/or getting a GM, he is gonzo. It is a no lose situation for Palmer. If the Bengals don't flinch he will be no longer with this screwed up organization.

    I am a smart guy.

I'm very quick when the jokes are good. :)

Not sure I understand why Bengal fans would be happy to get rid of Palmer. That will set this team back a long way. He's not great, but he's a good, serviceable NFL QB.

On one hand I can see the Bengal fans frustration....but on the other hand just be glad you have a QB that consistantly won you games the past 4-5 years and honestly just had a down year. But you can't blame it ALL on him. The team up North has yet to find a Franchise type QB, and you guys can't wait to get him out....

Their is no QB IMO in this year's draft or FA that you can build a franchise around......Best bet is to play for that #1 pick for next season and get Luck if you really want a franchise QB.

Carson Palmer was 60% of the problem for the Bengals the last 2 years. Threaten retirement? He must really not read a damn thing about himself which is impressive. He leaves Cincinnati and he won't play another down in the NFL unless someone gets hurt. What an idiot.
  • OQB
I know of a few teams that would most likely start him in a heartbeat:

    Bills
    Seahawks
    Cardinals
    49ers

Then you have the teams like the Broncos, Vikings, Titans, Dolphins, Panthers who all need a QB. Don't kid yourself, if he leaves Cincy their will be a team to pick him up.

Trade him to carolina or detroit.
  • I Wear Pants
I think you guys are vastly overestimating the amount of blame that should be placed on Palmer for your recent struggles.

Why in the fuck would Detroit want him? They have Stafford who will be in his 3rd year and healthy next season.

Didn't say they would want him. Just want to see the douchebag loser stuck on a perennial loser.

There cant be a Bengal fan out there that's happy with the way this organization is run. Thank God for the Steelers.

I doubt there is. From both this site and real life talking, the number one thing Bengals fans hate about their team is Mike Brown and his shitty, cheap-ass ownership.

Isn't Palmer already on a perennial loser?

I honestly feel like while Carson may be unhappy with the Bengals, ultimately he's unhappy with Bratkowski and that nothing is being changed. Every single person in Cincinnati thinks Bratkowski is a wretched offensive coordinator. I don't know how someone could live with himself knowing an entire city hates them and how they could do nothing to get people to actually have a positive opinion of them. I know a few people that aren't going to renew their season tickets and honestly I won't buy another single ticket until something(aka Bratkowshi) changes. Unfortunately that's the only way anything may change, and even then I think Mike Brown is far too stubborn to change anything. My opnion is Marvin Lewis is a good coach and Mike Zimmer is a great coach and there is some serious talent on the Bengals, but other than that everything else within the organization is awful.

T.O. and Cinco will announce on their stupid tv show tomorrow that they want to play for the Jets next season.

On the bright side Marvin Lewis called out Ocho again today! Here is the transcript of the reporter and Marvin.

Me: I have a question about Chad, though I know you’ve been asked a bunch of those questions…

Lewis: “Who? Is he in this game? Then I don’t worry about that.”

Me: Not quite in this game, but he did send me a message recently about possibly playing with the Patriots. That surprised me…

Lewis: “Belichick’s smarter than that.” (Laughs)

Me: Well, they did take Randy Moss in ‘07…

Lewis: “Yeah, and what did he do this year?”

Me: Yeah, well… But can (Ochocinco) still play?

Lewis: “I don’t want to talk about Chad.”

For his part, Ochocinco responded via Twitter by re-Tweeting my message and adding, “##AssWhoopnTime.”

The Bengals seem like one big dysfunctional family...

Wouldn't mind seeing him end up in Denver... Tebow isn't ready to lead an NFL team (if he will ever be) and we could deal away our trash (Quinn and Orton) in the process...
