Are the Jackets still relevant in Columbus

jordo212000I fall somewhere in between Ytown Steel Hound and dynasty. I don't think the Cavs are going anywhere anytime soon, but I do think you are going to start seeing attendance drop to Ricky Davis-era numbers starting next season.

sleeperI hate hockey, I live in Columbus, and its still fun to go to a game every once in a while. They are definitely relevant.

Successful businesses can survive, poorly managed ones won't. The Clippers are now there drawing decent crowd. They also gets concerts at the ballpark now. Nationwide still gets some concerts. Without the Jackets they will get more events, and most likely a minor league hockey and/or arena football team.
Problem is that the arena will now get the second level acts now that OSU has taken it over. You can see already that OSU is putting the main attractions at the Schott. The Clippers should continue to generate interest. They just won the championship so if people don't go to the games this year chances are they won't ever. -
gerb131Love the Jackets thru and thru but don't go to as many games anymore. Wish they'd start winning soon. 2-2 with Tampa Bay this eve.

In-terms of fan interest, they do fine. The teams just stink...but they have support and make a lot of money. -
UA5straightin2008i love the blue jackets as well, theyve got good student ticket deals ($15 for upper bowl, $25 for lower bowl), a bunch of us here at school are heading down for the BJ's Blackhawks games in 2 weeks
