The Steeler Nation Goes Global
-
PrescottFrom Peter King's CNNSI column.
Bonatucci, traveling for business in China, watched the game at a Steelers bar in Shanghai, at 5:30 in the morning Sunday. "There's a bar in Shanghai called The Camel where I'd say about 125 of us watched the game,'' Bonatucci said from China. That's right: There's a Steeler bar in Shanghai. "Chinese girls dressed as cheerleaders, Terrible Towels and all these expats or people traveling on business dressed in Steeler stuff. If you're a Steeler fan, you're not missing this game. When they came back in the second half, it was just like you'd get in the states -- people jumping up and down, high-fiving, going crazy. These people live for these moments.''

stroupsI was at a bar sunday in columbus and there were a bunch of steelers fans in there. I actually had a good conversation with some of them but there were a few that were complete retards. When the jets won this inbread looking fellow with about 4 teeth screams "welcome to the steal city baby" and jumped around with his buddys like he had just won the lottery. I know every fanbase has them but Pittsburgh seems to be the most annoying...... I know Cool story bro

Be careful, Rock_Knutne likes to cry and might report your post for calling a pitt fan an inbred (factually correct), a retard (also factually correct) and saying they only have 4 teeth (might be pushing it there).stroups;642771 wrote:I was at a bar sunday in columbus and there were a bunch of steelers fans in there. It doesn't bother me...just gets old seeing your same act in EVERY Pittsburgh thread. Too predictable.Raw Dawgin' it;642767 wrote:I'm sorry you all thin skinned princesses and can't handle the banter. -
Fly4FunI cleaned up this topic. If you want to troll, go start a thread in the basement.
And those who deserved it earned infractions. Keep the thread on topic. -

Ah, yes. I believe similar "banter" directed toward teams from another area pro sports city were what led to the constant complaining about particular users that eventually led to the creation of the Basement. -

cbus4lifeWas traveling around the south island of New Zealand this past week, and came back to Wellington yesterday. Taking the ferry back across the Cook Strait, i talked with two New Zealanders who were wearing Steelers gear and had been fans since the 70's, after going on a business trip to Pittsburgh. They were obviously very excited. Pretty cool, always nice being able to talk football. And, nice to see respect for American football in a country where rugby is king.
