International Sporting Events

  • slingshot4ever
What sporting event outside of the US would you most like to see? I am not including Olympics or World Cup since the location changes everytime and it could be in the US.

I would have to say Wimbledon in London (actually planning on it in 2012)

Any meaningful EPL game with teams from the "big 4."

Or Barcelona vs Real Madrid at Nou Camp.

Barcelona versus Real Madrid at Camp Nou. But I want to be in Barcelona for the whole week leading up for the week long partying that goes on.

I've watched plenty of professional soccer matches in Italy, Champions League and World Cup included. I would love to go to the Champions League final but it has never panned out for me when I've been in Europe.

I haven't been over there in over a year. Last match I attended was Juventus at Napoli........talk about a war zone. The last Champions League match I saw was Arsenal at Roma.

I've been to the Tour de France. It was alright, but nothing special. Cross country cycling is not really a spectator sport.

The best is in the USA
The 24 Hours of Daytona is one of the greatest international motorsports events anywhere. Drivers and cars from all around the world every year, all kinds of world championships between them.

Not a big event, but I always wanted to go to New Zealand or Oz to the Jet Sprint boat races. It has caught on a little in the US the last 10 years, in Idaho, Wyoming, and Wash. These things are basically a 600hp jon boat.

I was going to say Champions League final, but I think that would only really be amazing if it was a year 2 teams in the top 3 made it to the final.

    Australian Rules Football Grand Final

How about the bridge jump in West Virginia. That's a differant country isn't it?
