Is Colt McCoy the answer ?

  Exactly....size is a very overrated "deficiency" or "strength". If you're a good QB, you're a good QB.

  Luck is the only QB I'd want at our spot. I think drafting a qb early is definitely not going to happen, based on Holmgren's history and the fact that we have MUCH bigger holes to fill. Drafting Mallet would be pointless imo.

  The last two weeks have made it a bit tougher to definitely say "yes". Six picks in six quarters (the Baltimore game and the first half against the Steelers) is U-G-L-Y under any circumstance, but even more so considering it is against two division rivals you have to play twice a year. If, as a quarterback, you can't put forth good efforts against quality division rivals, you won't last long.
  
  But on the other hand...when it seems that your main pass options are (a) running backs and (b) tight end and it's generally known that you don't have great talent at WR, you'd have to be a pretty elite QB right now in order to deliver consistently quality results. As a team, Cleveland regressed heavily after getting up to 5-7. McCoy was a part of that regression, becoming a turnover machine down the stretch. But there were a lot of contributing factors, including drops and simply not having a high-quality receiver to rely on for those "gotta get 7+ yards" sort of plays.
  
  With that in mind, I'd think the goal of the team SHOULD be to upgrade the talent around McCoy and then pass judgment on him being "the answer" or not based on what he can do with better options than Dropamatic Robert Royal and Chansi "two-yard routes regardless of how many yards we need" Stuckey. Another thing that probably should be considered in his favor is that I don't think he was expected to contribute at all this season, but Delhomme and Wallace were both hurt and his immediate returns as the starter showed that he was likely a better guy for the job than those two.

  Not sure whether or not he is the answer, but regardless of who the qb is this team needs a threat at wide receiver and a right side of an offensive line to give McCoy time to think and not get hit on every other play.

  I think it's definitely too early to tell. In today's game vs. Pittsburgh, I thought he was completely screwed when his only reliable options to throw pass to were Hillis or Watson because the receivers can't get open and when they do they drop passes. The other issue as was already mentioned is that he is too often running for his life!

  I agree with this, but no excuses for the INT's.....you can't turn the ball over 6 times in 2 games! I will give him the benefit of the doubt....he has absolutely no weapons to throw to and because of that teams just blitz, blitz, and blitz the heck out of the Browns and make our WR's beat them in man coverage, and when McCoy makes a good pass it hits them in the hands or chest and drops to the ground.

  Can he be an elite qb? I dont think so..but you dont need an elite qb to at least be decent. I think he can be a solid starter in the NFL. Get this guy some weapons! Draft Jones, Green, or Blackmon. Its hard to do too much when you dont have many playmakers.

  Exactly....he is not going to be the next Tom Brady or Payton Manning, but he will be able to win some football games when he gets some weapons.
  
  I would like to see the Browns draft either Green, Jones, or Blackmon this year....and then I really really like the South Carolina WR Alshon Jeffries...who will be a Junior next year and will most likely come out (if their is a draft in 12) then we get him in that draft. Then we have a solid WR corp who will be able to srtetch the field and most importantly catch the football.

  Two of those INT's today weren't completely his fault. One went off the hands of Watson who batted it into Polamalu's hands and another was as he was getting hit from behind causing an errant throw. I think he can be much better with some actual receivers and a right side of the line.

  I have to disagree with that. That was a terrible throw. Watson could only get his fingertips on the ball, which was why it was deflected. It was thrown too far in front of him.

  He is not a Super Bowl winning QB. Probably not even a QB good enough to get you into the playoffs in the AFC North.

  And I do think McCoy has lacked offensive weapons, but after watching Bradford last night, I think he might have worse WR's than the Browns. So, even though it's harder to succeed with a lack of talent, Bradford has performed pretty well. I know Bradford has much more talent than McCoy, but they are the same age and Bradford has shown the potential to be great.
  
  McCoy has shown the potential to be average. Browns fans just have such low expectations from the QB position that I think too many people are settling on McCoy. He's just not a franchise QB. The elite teams in the NFL have elite QB's and McCoy will never be that.

  Bradford has an elite running back to take some pressure off of him, unlike McCoy. Bradford also won 2 more games (colt didnt start the first 4 or so I believe) in the weakest division in the NFL, while Colt on the other hand play in the 1st or 2nd toughest division.

  he's not going to be peyton manning, but he will be able to win games and control the games. No one is saying he is going to be an elite qb, but he will be a winner.

  Hillis ran for basically the same amount of yards as Jackson. Yes, I agree that Jackson is better, but their production was very similar this year.
  
  If you can't see the potential in Bradford I don't know what to tell you.
