Spring Fever: Baseball Hall of Fame Election announced Jan 5

killdeerBBWAA to announce 2011 Cooperstown electees on January 5th....
...In his 13th year on the ballot, Bert Blyleven fell just short again last year with 74.2% of the vote. This should be his year.
...Barry Larkin cracked the 50% mark last year....should do better this year, but likely will still fall short of election.
...Raffy Palmeiro's first year on the ballot...will off the field activities keep a 3000 Hit /500 HR member out of the club?
...Robby Alomar likely will get the nod, but shouldn't...(IMO).
...Lee Smith should get the call, but unfortunately won't...(again,IMO).
...Dave Parker's last year on the writer's ballot, I think....always a favorite of mine. A future Veteran's committee choice?
Have at it.
TRIVIA: what MLB player had recieved the most BBWAA votes of any candidate to have never been elected to the HOF? -
SonofanumpI guess Ron Santo.
-
SonofanumpI personally think Jack Morris should be in, and I am not a Tigers fan.
-
Ironman92Why wouldn't Alomar be deserving?

justincredibleI am really hoping Larkin gets in this year. I'd like to finally go to Cooperstown.
