Another terrible game on FOX for Ohio

I know. I said a few weeks back, why am I always watching the Seahawks in the 4:00 game here in the Cleveland market?

I hate when there isn't a 1 o'clock game on Fox in my area.
  • ts1227
By the way, Cincinnati will most likely black out, but for the time being I'll leave it there in case they actually sell the tickets.

Don Criqui might be enough to save that Cleveland-Cincinnati game.

    Doubtful though.

Do the individual stations choose which games they show?
  • Non
I think the NFL decides those boundaries but as I say that I know there has been times when the Youngstown stations have changed things towards the end of the week. Not just for blackout situations but just deciding to show the Steelers on WKBN/CBS and putting the Browns on an auxilliary station or something like that. I would think that has to be the individual station perhaps receiving approval from the headquarters.

Primary markets (CLE, CIN) obviously have to show their team.
Secondary markets do too. Some markets, like Youngstown, are the secondary market for 2 teams and sometimes have to pick between the two if they play at the same time on the same network.

Outside of that, I think they are pretty much free to choose. Sure, I bet the networks have recommendations on which game they would like to get the national coverage (see FOX putting Favre games at 4:15 in 95% of the country very often), but I don't think they have to adhere to it.

Awesome!!! No Clown/Bungal game in my area. I get Jags/Colts on CBS and Saints/Ravens on Fox. Sweet.

There are some great games on this weekend.

I'd go to a BW3's or someplace like that but I have to work until 3:30 on Sunday so I'll just make it home for the Steelers game.

How in the hell do they put on Atlanta/Seattle as opposed to giving us the Giants/Eagles at 1:00?
