I agree and they have been this way since the Vince Young thing. This was a playoff team (not a good one) that got off track and now they may be the worst team in the league.

Other than the San Diego game, though, the other losses were close games. Even at New England, Manning was driving for the go-ahead score when he threw the interception.

You put Indianapolis up against any team in the AFC -- Baltimore, N.Y. Jets, Pittsburgh, New England -- and it's not a game where the Colts can't be right there with a chance to pull it out.

You have to be kidding me. This was a no brainer.

Yeah, they obviously have a shot but I don't see them going that far.

I agree again. Bigdaddy, I think you see things as they are. Peyton is a GREAT QB but, he does not have enough around him to take it very far.

I would put New England at the head of the class but then the second best team or the team that might face the Patriots for the AFC Championship is up in the air. But I would include Indianapolis still in that group.

    As a long shot.

I guess we are just going to have to wait and see how it goes. The Pats may not make it to the AFC title game.

    I wouldn't say that.

Pittsburgh, Baltimore, N.Y. Jets and Indianapolis are comparable teams.

If any combination of those teams played in the playoffs it would be a close game.

You don't know how they'll be seeded so it could end up Indy would go to New England for the divisional playoffs.

But if it's Indy at Pittsburgh, for example, I'd be holding my breath with the Steelers secondary. That would be a nailbiter.
  • bigdaddy2003
Well I guess this game isn't over.

The Colts have no O-Line and no D-Line play. They will be lucky to make the playoffs, because going 4-0 wont happen and then they will need help.

Once there, they can play with anyone, but they will lose the close game because they have all season.

finally some life out of the Titans
  • Laley23
On a positive note, they should be very deep next year with all these guys getting so much playing time.

Pittsburgh and Baltimore, I would think a tad above the other two. It is close though and I can only hope the Pats fall . I keep waiting for the Ravens offense to exsplode. So much talent.

Jacksonville doesn't have an easy schedule

    Oakland, Indy, Washington, Houston

    at least three potential losses

Agree, but anytime you have to rely on a team to lose, I think its considered lucky. I mean, you cant get in by yourself, so it has be considered a bit fortunate.

This last quarter of the season and the playoffs should be wild in the AFC.

I think Indy will win out. Obviously they have to get by this one first but I like their chances in all of their remaining games.

They do need to get some guys back but it won't take much for them to go from a team that's lost a lot of close games to one that can sneak out some tough games even in the playoffs. It's like that for a lot of teams. The Steelers faded last year when they had the long losing streak but then they won their last three against pretty good teams, Green Bay, Baltimore and Miami.

Also, the year Indy won the Super Bowl they entered as a wild card team and surprised by going to Baltimore and winning. I think they can still be a factor.
