New England @ New Orleans

    Sharper just killed that dude...
  • SQ_Crazies
Not nearly as good a hit as Meriweather put on Shockey earlier in the game.

Ok, down 24 points and I still have Brady, Colston, and Henderson..

Henderson got me 20 points in the first half to draw me close...

A big second half by Tom Brady and I could win.. My opponent still has Shockey though..

    Drew Brees is ridiculous.

    D. Brees 13/15 299yds 19.9ypa 4td 0int 158.3rat

    In 37 minutes!

    31-17 Saints lead.

Unstoppable...at least by this defense. Whichever talking head I heard earlier say "this isn't your big brothers Patriots team" was right. The offense is a step slower than it used to be, but still good. But man, their defense is a shell of it's former self. No surprise really though, tough to replace a lot of the names they've lost in the last few years.

38-17 Saints have made this look very easy.

Man this is going to get ugly...

Anyone want to argue that the Vikings are still the best team in the NFL? Of course I don't believe any of that until they show it on the field, but for discussion purposes the Saints are making the biggest statement of the season right now.

Was down 64 going into tonight but brees maroney and saints d just put me up 1 with that pic. The pats better not score!!!

The Saints are by far the best team in the league that includes the Colts. The only way they lose a game is by resting players.
  • SQ_Crazies
I disagree, there are teams that could beat them. Never know what will happen in the playoffs--no one thought the Giants would beat the Pats either. No one thought the Cardinals would make the Super Bowl and then after they did most didn't give them a chance. Any given Sunday.

I wouldn't say they are far above the Vikings but definitely the best. The Colts are probably the 4th best.
  • SQ_Crazies
The Colts could be the 8th best but I'd never count them out with Manning.

But there is no doubt that the Saints and especially Drew Brees made a statement tonight. They definitely need to tip their hat to the fans--that place was rocking all night long. Awesome to hear because you don't see that very often in professional sports. That was like a college crowd.

    ^Agreed.

4th? Then who would be third?

I think the Colts/Vikes/Saints are all co-number ones.

The Patriots worked the Colts at home for most of the game until Belicheck made his dumb decision. This is how I see it.

    1. Saints
    2. Vikings
    3. Patriots
    4. Colts

I think the Cowboys are a good football team, flying under the radar for sure. Of course we surely can't put them up there until we see what Romo does down the stretch. EVen though IMO it hasn't been Romo's fault they haven't won down the stretch the last few years. Cincy has to be taken seriously. Can't count out the Steelers yet, or the Ravens or Broncos really. Chargers are on the same level as the Cowboys, just flying under the radar but they're definitely a good team.
  • SQ_Crazies
No way the Patriots are top 5. Their defense just isn't good enough this year.
  • Puddle Jumper
Why does Tom Brady look like a grownup Damian from the Omen flicks in all his interviews? He looks like he is sick or something.
  • newarkcatholicfan
I can’t put the Boys in there thanks to their play in the bigger games. Romo has never been able to do anything in the playoffs and until that changes even the life time Dallas fans will take that wait and see attitude with them.
  • dwccrew
Now that Tom Brady and Billy Bellicheck can't cheat, they are being exposed. Just like Charlie Weis and Romeo Crenell have been.
  • SQ_Crazies
^That's actually a pretty interesting thought. But I think it has more to do with them not being able to replace the names on defense they've lost the last few years. Pretty much impossible to replace them all when you really think about it.

    Richard Seymour
    Mike Vrabel
    Tedy Bruschi
    Rodney Harrison
    Asante Samuel

And there are more, but it's pretty tough to replace losing all of that in a 3-4 year period.
