NFL Power Rankings - after 12 weeks

Non
1. New England 9-2 (1)
2. N.Y. Jets 9-2 (2)
3. Atlanta 9-2 (3)…They have it all set up right now, starting to distance themselves as the prohibitive favorite in the NFC.
4. Baltimore 8-3 (6)
5. New Orleans 8-3 (7)
6. Pittsburgh 8-3 (8)
7. Green Bay 7-4 (4)…Not much of a loss by a field goal at Atlanta, but they still can’t afford any slip ups after falling behind the Bears.
8. San Diego 6-5 (12)…The defense is going from good to great and now they have a pounding runner in Tolbert to go along with Rivers. Though, they still have to catch a pretty good Kansas City team.
9. Chicago 8-3 (14)…Bears have won four in a row and are looking good, but beware of a potential upset this week at Detroit after the big win over Philly.
10. Philadelphia 7-4 (5)
11. N.Y. Giants 7-4 (10)
12. Kansas City 7-4 (11)
13. Indianapolis 6-5 (9)..Now in a serious fight for the AFC South.
14. Tampa Bay 7-4 (13)
15. Jacksonville 6-5 (15)
16. Miami 6-5 (18)
17. Houston 5-6 (21)…Not out of it yet but they face a tough challenge Thursday night at Philly.
18. Oakland 5-6 (16)
19. Cleveland 4-7 (20)
20. Tennessee 5-6 (19)
21. Minnesota 4-7 (24)
22. Dallas 3-8 (23)
23. Washington 5-6 (17)
24. St. Louis 5-6 (25)…All four teams in the division are among the nine worst teams in the league.
25. Seattle 5-6 (22)
26. San Francisco 4-7 (26)
27. Buffalo 2-9 (29)
28. Denver 3-8 (27)
29. Cincinnati 2-9 (30)
30. Detroit 2-9 (31)
31. Arizona 3-8 (28)
32. Carolina 1-10 (32) -
hoops23I just don't see Atlanta as the 3rd best team in the NFL.
-
Hb31187Only team that has a legit beef with ATL being ranked above them is Pittsburgh because they beat Atl themselves
Theyve beat 3 teams in the top 10. The only 2 losses are to top 10 teams and they have the best record in pro football(tied for it). Dunno what else you can do -

Maybe but it was week 1. The Jets are too high imo. They have a great record but have been squeaking by against sub par teams, but a win is a win I guess.
I would also put the Bengals at #31 with all the talent they have and to be 2-9 is terrible. -
Fly4FunI don't mind having Atlanta up there. But I do think the Jet's are too high at the moment.
-
NonI would say Atlanta is either 1, 2 or 3.
Three is the worst possible place they could be. -
bigdaddy2003Atlanta is good and I could see them making it to the Super Bowl mostly because they will probably land home field advantage but I think the Packers or Saints will end up beating them at home. I would like to see a Ravens/Falcons rematch though.
-
justincredibleJets will be #1 next week. Boom.

You think they will be number 1 even after losing to the Patriots? -
Ironman92The winner of the Jets/Pats game will be #1 for sure......and if the Steelers beat the Ravens...they should jump the Falcons

What if the Ravens beat the Steelers? -
Ironman92#3 if that happens....Falcons beat Ravens
-
justincredibleNext Tuesday it will be:
1. Jets
2. Falcons
3. Ravens
I'll bet you a dollar. -
bigdaddy2003I think Tampa beats Atlanta Sunday so I don't think they will be in the top 3.
-
JesterAtlanta shouldn't have any trouble with the Bucs. Falcons by 17.

I agree, sort of. I think they'll win easily but probably not by 17.
Also, welcome. -
bigdaddy2003I think it will be one of those games that goes down to the wire. I say Tampa by 3.
-
JesterWhile my prediction of a Falcons win by 17 may be a little to much, I still don't think Atlanta loses this game. Tampa Bay is 0-4 against teams with a winning record, with one of those losses already being to Atlanta. To many weapons on the offensive side of the ball for the Bucs to stop.
-
bigdaddy2003I guess we shall find out Sunday. If the Falcons win that game I will take them more seriously.

How can you not take them seriously when they just beat the Ravens a few weeks ago? -
Jester5 game winning streak, including wins against the Ravens, Bucs, and Packers. Not sure why a win this Sunday against the Bucs (which would be their 2nd against them) would cause you to finally take them seriously?
-

Because I don't think they did. They were awarded the W but they shouldn't have been. -

I feel the same way about the Ravens win over the Jets. -

Ha there was a bad call that directly awarded the Ravens the game? -

There were four.
