Anyone just see the fight in the Houston/Tenn game?

    Johnson has never even been close to being in trouble in the NFL, while Finnegan is a repeat offender. Finnegan is known as an instigator, and the leagues will punish him more severely.

    Was at the game and having watched the Texans for several years...there is one thing that I can say with utmost certainty....To have Andre Johnson go out of character like that was all on Finnegan. They have had bad blood for several years now. It also has been reported that Finnegan told the Texan's bench that he was going to jam Johnson like that. "Watch this"

    Johnson will be suspended but only for the Eagles game. Goodell knows AJ needs to be present for Monday Night the next week.

    Ditka was on mike and mike this morning and said the league should applaud Johnson. I don't know about that, but I am really glad he wasn't suspended.

    Ditka went on to say that the only thing he wishes would've happened differently in this situation is that Johnson would've punched him one more time.

    How suspensions were avoided is beyond me. Out of character for AJ or not, when punches fly they must be suspended!

    I don't have a problem with it myself. Finnegan was being an instigator and Johnson acted on it. I like that they were able to duke it out like that.

    If this is the NBA they are (AJ in particular) are missing an 8th of the season probably. It would be a 10 game suspension.

    Apparently, Goddell thinks that some of the 'football' hits that have not been penalized on the firld but fined afterwards are worse than what these two bums did.

    In terms of comparing it with the NBA's suspensions it is crappy. I don't believe players should be suspended for fighting unless they totally beat someone down. I have never seen an NBA fight that was suspension worthy except for the Malice in the Palace. Fighting shouldn't happen but it's obvious there will be fights here and there. I just don't feel throwing a couple fists should warrant suspension. To me Finnegan is just as guilty as Johnson. He was running his mouth and Johnson did something about it. Should Johnson have just walked away? Sure but he didn't and I am ok with it in this instance. Just my opinion.

    My first made his facebook status "If Roger Goodell is any kind of a man, he should hand Andre Johnson $25,000 and say Son, you shoulda hit him harder."

    I was very surprised to see niether of them suspended I figured they would at least get a game and since they are not getting suspsended how much of a joke is the $25,000? I mean defensive players got fined more than that for their "helmet to helmet" hits.

    I like that no suspensions were given. Nfl/NBA players fighting=thugs, and its almost hard to belive it happens for some people? NHL players fighting=part of the game, its a crock of shit
