Week 13: Detroit Lions ( 2 - 9 ) @ Cincinnati Bengals ( 8 - 3 )

Sunday December 6th 1:00PM on CBS

    Early line is Bengals -14

Getting to 9-3 is critical before back to back road games @Minnesota & San Diego. Who Dey!

The Bengals will win. I'd be surprised at this point if they cover. The running attack is fun to watch, but the passing game is struggling again. No deep threat to stretch the defense.

I think the Bengals are a team that will compete with anyone, but probably won't blow anyone out, either.

I picture this game getting fairly ugly fairly early. By game's end, it could be one of the ugliest games ever. Either that, or the Lions will win an incredible upset victory over the shell-shocked Bengals. (Not a chance in you know where!)

Cedric Benson will be the starter for Sunday

    9-3 after this one

If the Raiders and Bruce Gradkowski can beat the Bengals, than surely the Lions can right? ;)

If Stafford isn't 90%, I don't want to see him play again. He should not have started on Thanksgiving and gave them no chance to win. They will have to play a good game on the road but I don't think it will be a blowout, unless Stafford plays and is not healthy.

It's the NFL and on any given Sunday..........................like many have said, the running game is solid, but, Carson and the passing game are really, really struggling. Not to mention, where's the point production?? 18, 17, 16................thank god for Shayne Graham. I wouldn't be surprised to see another close one...............21-17.

Then two tough, tough road games where the Bengals have actually flourished, except for Oakland.

In any event, what a fun season. Win or lose, these Bengals have played hard.

What a shame a 1st place team cant sellout their stadium. Who bought the tickets this time? Obama?
  • osu45804
Yes, yes he did. Are u happy it's all apart of his bailout plan
  • Al Capone
Yep. Bailing out poorly run organizations is his thing.

Man those two losses this year must really sting huh?
  • Al Capone
Them 2 losses dont mean squat in the grand scheme of things. We will see what happens in the 3rd matchup.

If there IS a third matchup..... Pittsburgh has to jump two other teams... Cincy is in the drivers seat for the Division and right now in a spot for a 1st Round Bye ....... A LOT of ball left to play but i'm very optimistic for this team
  • Al Capone
When the 3rd meeting does occur, I am sure you will not be as optimistic as you are now.
  • dave
hopefully the offense opens it up a little. if they don't do it against the lions it won't ever happen.

The first round bye will be determined in two weeks when the Bengals play at San Diego. Winner of that game gets the bye. The loser will get a first round home game.
